The RUN/STOP switch determines the program state after applying power supply. If the switch is in
the RUN position, CyBro-2 will automatically start executing the program. If the switch position is
altered, the program state will be changed accordingly.
If CyBro-2 is connected to the PC, it is possible to send a new program and change the program state
from the PC, regardless of the switch position.

IEX-2 power supply
Internal CyBro power supply has enough power for 3-4 external modules. Bigger systems should
use external power supply.
1) Small system - CyBro-2-230 internal power supply
Example:
Bio-24R:
AiR-12:
AiV-12:
OP-2:
CyBro inputs:
Bio-24 inputs:
230VAC
230V~
160mA
50mA
50mA
40mA
8x7mA=56mA
12x7mA=84mA
Total consumption:
440mA
2) Large system - CyBro-2-24 + external power supply
24VDC
230V~ 24V=
Total power output for IEX-2 modules is limited to 2A because
of RJ-9 connector. If more current is needed, additional IEX-2
modules may be connected using bus extender (BE).
IEX-2 addressing
Each IEX-2 module has unique network address, labeled on side.

Communication failed, no messages are coming from the module.
Internal or configuration error detected, module is not functional.
Module detected a number of communication errors, but it is still working.
Digital outputs.
Set to send new filter settings to module. Will be reset automatically after
settings are sent.
Disable default input filtering (5ms) for each particular input (no_filter=12
-> ix2 and ix3 not filtered). Use in critical applications to achieve a minimum
response time.
Enable extra input filtering (100ms) for each particular input (slow_filter=14
-> ix1, ix2 and ix3 slow filtering). Useful in a noisy environment.

Too high supply voltage will cause the built in fuse
to blow up. Too small supply voltage will cause the PLC to trip.
Too small frequency will have no influence on proper functioning.
Improper lead connection will cause no harm. Connecting line
to N terminal and neutral to L terminal is not safety relevant.

Mounting
CyBro-2 and all its expansions except OP-2, should be mounted vertically onto the standard DIN rail
(DIN EN 50022), on a metal plate, within a suitable enclosure, like a cabinet (key or tool entry).
Total power dissipation of CyBro-2 and other devices inside enclosure (cabinet) must not exceed
permissible power dissipation of enclosure.
CyBro-2 is designed for natural convection cooling. You must provide a clearance of at least 30 mm,
both above and below the units, for proper cooling.
Caution
Use this product in an environment as described in this document.
If this product is subject to high temperature, high humidity, excessive dust, corrosive gases, vibration
or shock, it may result in an electric shock, fire or malfunction.
Install this product according to instructions in this manual.
If installation is not performed correctly, it may result in unit failing or malfunction.
Do not allow foreign objects as wire chips to enter the unit.
This may cause fire, unit failure or malfunction.
Open the DIN clip to allow mounting, and snap
close to secure the unit on the rail.
When connecting the units by using the shortest
IEX-2 connection cables, snap the cable to the left
unit first, and then snap the right unit onto the
cable.
1. push
When the units are connected together, the distance
between them is very small.
Use the small screwdriver to press cable connector
clip and pull the unit away to disconnect.
2. pull

Wiring guidelines
Follow all applicable electrical codes when wiring CyBro-2 series.
Install and operate all equipment according to national and local standards.
All wirings should be performed by qualified personnel.
Warning
Control devices may fail in an unsafe condition, resulting in unexpected operation of controlled
equipment.
Such unexpected action could result in death or serious personal injury, and/or equipment damage.
Install emergency stop switch, electromechanical overrides, or other redundant safeguards that are
independent of the programmable controller.
Warning
Connect a power supply that meets the voltage rating, shown on the front panel.
A CyBro-2 may fail in an unsafe manner or present an electrical shock hazard to personnel if high
voltage is applied to terminals intended for 24V= circuit connections.
Such a failure or shock could result in death or serious personal injury, and/or equipment damage.
Always supply 24V= circuits from a source that provides safe electrical separation from 120/230V~
power.
Provide a circuit breaker rated 10A/Type B that removes power from CyBro-2 and all the connected
expansions. The circuit breaker or separate disconnect switch should be near the controller.
Warning
Never touch the terminals while the power is on. There is a risk of an electric shock, which could
result in death or serious personal injury.
Separate AC wiring and high-energy DC wiring from low-energy signal wiring.
Equip inductive loads with suppression circuits.
Use 0.5-1.5 mm˛ (22-14 AWG) size wires.
Use 85°C rated wires if there are no external heat sources nearby.
Put ferrules (end sleeves) on wires before connecting them to terminals.

VIN QX
0V
CyBro-2 series DC transistor outputs contain protective clamping
diodes that are adequate for most applications. In case of large or
frequently switched inductive loads use external suppression
diodes (type 1N4001 or equivalent).
You can also use diode suppression for DC loads relay switching.
+24V

load
For AC loads relay switching use
resistor/capacitor suppressors
across either the load or the AC
outputs.
R > 0.5 x Vrms [Ů]
C = 2 to 4 nF for each 10VA of load
You can also use metal oxide varistor
(MOV) to limit peak voltage.
Working voltage of the MOV should be
at least 20% greater than the nominal
line voltage.

Hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
Hardware maintenance
There is no special maintenance procedure for CyBro family. There are no spare parts that you can
change yourself. In case of malfunction, you should contact local distributor.
A routine maintenance check (about every one or two months) of PLC and control system is good
practice, and should include the following items:
air temperature - check the ambient air temperature in the control cabinet, so the operating
temperature range of any component is not exceeded.
air filter - if the control cabinet has an air filter, clean or replace it periodically as required.
fuses or breakers - verify that all fuses and breakers are intact.
air vents - verify that all air vents are clear, allowing air to circulate for cooling.
