Situated in a magnificent environment, Verona is beautiful.
Its historical centre filled with colourful piazzas and delightful mediaeval buildings, its squares and in its

Famed for Shakespeare’s legendary lovers Romeo and Juliet and the world’s most famous balcony, Verona
is also home to the magnificently preserved Roman Arena, which continues to host the city’s renowned
opera festival, the ancient squares Brà, DelleErbeand Dei Signori, symbols of a grand past; among Roman
monuments or castles and medieval buildings, traces of the power of the Della Scala Lords.
In the alleys and palaces you recall the romantic and fascinating atmosphere of the two Shakespeare’s

Roman and Gothic town.

Venice
Venice is an enchanting and romantic city which even the most seasoned traveller cannot tire of. As the
sun sets, its rays wash the old buildingsin a rosy glow that is both mirrored and refracted, in the murky
canals.
The city is always attractive, no matter what the season is. In peak-season August, Venice glows, but
under the bleak November skies, it takes on a delicious “noirish” character.
The sight of St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and Rialto Bridge are so familiar yet so breathtaking in
person that the city seems to exert a pull which compels visitors to return for another visit.
The city is especially beautiful when suddenly, on a midwinter morning, the rain trickles to a halt, the
clouds part, and streams of light burst through as though they were a message from Heaven. When this
happens, there is a sense of renewal. In an instant, the cafe tables are set up again in St. Mark’s Square,
pigeons and waiters appear from the same dark arcades. Somewhere an orchestra begins to play. It is
little wonder that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.

Florence
This city is a mecca to art lovers’ worldwide, ornate buildings housing a huge list of art treasures which are
immediately recognisable to the eye. The city is dominated by the magnificent cathedral Piazza del Duomo,
where a climb up Giotto’s bell tower allows unrivalled views over the city. Visit the precariously perched Ponte
Vecchiowith its huddle of jewellers’ shops or Florence’s Bohemian quarters with its craft and antique shops
inthe narrow Via Romana. Often, a visit to the city’s smaller galleries and museums can be rewarding; try the
sculpture filled”Bargell” in the Piazza San Firenze. If you look for relaxation away from the tourist trails and
for complete tranquillity, the magical gardens of Boboli to the South of the river Arno create a leafy haven on

Siena
Siena is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns; a place of winding streets; soft, red brick
houses, swaying terra cotta roofs, thick walls and tiny windows with dazzling window boxes full of
bright flowers.
The Piazza del Campo presents visitors with buildings on grand scale. A turreted campanile, a soaring
bell tower, a heavily ornate fountain and the extraordinary Duomo. The high point of your Siena holidays.
A huge striped cathedral, barred by layers of black and white stone, with pink and green marble inlaid
around the portico. Step through this inviting portal and look up at a ceiling depicting the night sky,
painted with gold stars.
If you wish to make your holiday a very unusual experience visit Siena during the horse race called
“Paliodi Siena”, the most celebrated festival in Tuscany, an event that started in the early 1200s; residents
deck themselvesout costume dating back 500 years: armour, gaudy pantaloons or the long-obsolete
uniforms of standard bearers.
