JADM is dedicated to the publications of high qualit y ar ticles on practical applications of data mining and big data analy tics and related areas, as well as theoretical research. JADM invites you to submit your research work to journal. STC Meetings Prince Megrin Data Mini ng Center team visited Saudi Telecom Company (STC) to explore mutual cooperation possibilities. This meeting resulted in positive feedback from STC and opened up channels for collaborations. In the future MEGDAM and STC would be participating in joint areas of interest to both par ties. Meeting Dr. Musaed Al Muqbil MEGDAM had the honor to host Dr. Musaed Al Muqbil, Dean of Research and Higher Studies at Prince Sultan Universit y. Dr. Al Muqbil visited the center and had a one hour meeting with the MEGDAM Executive Committee and Research Staff. In this meeting, Dr. Basit Qureshi, on behalf of the center, presented the highlights of strategic plan 2012-2017, activities of the center and the action plan for year 2014-2015. The honored guest visited MEGDAM facilities and appreciated the centers effor ts. Review of MEGDAM Bylaws The University Council approved the new research funding bylaws for Prince Megrin Data Mining Center. Prior to the approval, the center bylaws were updated based on recommendations from the office of the vice rector for academics and research, closely reminiscent to funding bylaws of Prince Salman Research and Translation Center. This was the first time that our students have represented PSU from men’s college. A total of 21 teams par ticipated from Sau di universities including KSU, K AUST, King Abdul Aziz Universit y and PSU. Team “RedWolves” from PSU men’s college totaled 492.35 points earning them the second place among their Saudi peers. These students are yet to complete “CS210 Data Structures” course which is an essential requirement for solving IEEE EXTREME problems. Congratulations for team “RedWolves”, CCIS and PSU on this achievement. ACM competition ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals Participate in a team Programming Contest Java or C/C++ Teams of 3’s will be competing in the ACM international Collegiate Programming Contest to provide students with opportunities to interact with students from other universities and to sharpen and demonstrate their problem-solving, programming, and team work skills.
