Baby is the smallest of the decorative version of a traditional
Adirondack Pack Basket. Students will start with pre-cut spokes
and weave a plain weave base with flat reed, then continuous
weave the sides with flat oval reed and complete the basket
with a handle, rim filler and lash on rim. Complete the
Adirondack look as you place your pre-made custom leather
harness on your completed basket.
The 3” Nantucket Bell has a 3” Cherry rim and a cherry
base. It is woven with natural cane on a class mold. It
is 5" tall.

Begin with a woven and filled in base of paired filler stakes, no split
stakes here. Create horizontal bands of color with natural and dyed
reed in navy as photographed; other color choices available. Triple
Braid Handle Wrap decorates this tote from start of handle at base to
finish with several handle wrap technique options. Featured in
Southern Living Magazine, emphasis on color placement and hand
shaping from 5” square base to 9” round rim.

This hand pounded black ash basket is made on a mold. This
basket will be prestarted: laid out on the mold to ensure
students will have time to finish. The accent bands have been
pre-stamped. When completed, the basket will hold book
matches or small boxed matches. The basket will sit or hang.

Natural and dyed flat reed basket woven on a slotted oak triangle
base. Some experience with slotted bases is helpful. Some color
choices are available. Tools: sharp basket shear, Plato shear
(diagonal flush cutter), flat tipped awl (such as Weaverite tool B
or D), packing tool (Weaverite tool H), 6-12 small rubber tipped
clamps, old towel for lap, sponge, water container, sand paper.

The next size up in the set of 5 Classic Ovals. Natural flat reed, woven
on a 4” x 7” oval oak slotted base, this is a fun basket accented with a
tall square notched handle with a pointed grip. The flat reed rim will
be lashed with 3mm flat oval. Enough materials provided for one
basket, and pattern includes instructions for 5 sizes of the Classic Oval
Basket. Tools: sharp basket shear, Plato shear (diagonal flush cutter),
flat tipped awl (such as Weaverite tool B or D), packing tool (Weaverite

Twine with two color 7-ply waxed linen, stacking the way to create the
base design. The sides are a combination of Delica beads and waxed
linen. Complete the tray with Linda’s double face braid rim. An
optional beaded foot may be added. Linda will demonstrate and teach
all the techniques needed to create your tray. Students have a choice
of purple shades or turquoise shades of waxed linen.
Tools: small sharp scissors, tape measure, waxed linen packing tool,
bead tray. A personal light and magnifying glasses may be helpful.

With a sampling of techniques, create this Triple Cross design
including: Chase Weave at the racetrack base, Start and Stop
weave adding overlays, and Four Rod Wale in navy round reed
with other colors available. Emphasis is on color placement,
shaping and Triple Cross. Finish with instructor-made teardrop
handle attached with Triple Cross knots, wrapped in choices of
Double or Triple Braid technique with dyed handle grip.

The “Jardiniere” is the smallest in a set of three baskets. The
cherry base is glued to the mold which is a plastic vase. The twill
pattern is woven with dyed cane and copper wire over preshaped reed staves. A cherry one-piece rim and cover with a

class use.

A twilled pattern is added to the front of this basket to
encompass a jeweled medallion. I have one on my dresser to
put away my jewelry for the evening. It also makes a nice favor
basket using the bride’s colors. This basket is made on a mold
using the best hand pounded black ash materials.

This little lidded jar looks nice sitting on the shelf. It’s perfect for
holding hand cream, little class supplies, treasures or for the tooth
fairy! It is twined with 7-ply waxed linen. Learn techniques for
completing a row, setting up for the next, securing and weaving over
container, leveling and finishing to the container. There will be a
selection of colors.

With a unique oak wood base and attached wooden divider, Chase
Weave to secure ¼” oval stakes in alternating wine and navy with other
color choices available. Twill weave with flat oval reed, then learn Triple
Twine / 3-rod wale for two round reed outside spiral accents at the
center of the basket and below the rim. Finish with cable stitch lashed
border and Pati’s twisted dyed round reed rim filler. Great to tote your
favorite wine or water bottles as well as a decorative way to display
oil/vinegar bottles.

Students will be using a glass vase for their mold that will
remain in the finished vessel. The vase has a cherry wood base
and pre-shaped cane staves, woven with dyed Hamburg cane.
Several twill patterns are available. The vessel is finished with a
one-piece rim. The base and rim will be pre-finished. A tool kit
will be provided for class use.
This attractive large basket is woven on a round wood base and
has two rosewood handles. Many, many techniques: Triple
twining, 4-rod, 5-rod and 6-rod wale. Color placement and side
embellishments give it appeal. Space dyed reed is used. Slower
weavers may have to finish embellishments on their own but
plenty of instruction and photos are given to help in completion.

Nathan Taylor made the first ones on the original mold using the
weaving formula from Shaker records. The mold comes in 3
pieces like a puzzle. Don’t miss your chance of weaving with a
puzzle mold derived from the original using the exacting hand
pounded black ash materials prepared in the same manner as the
Shakers themselves.

The newest of Linda’s woven container series is perfect for storing
beads while complimenting your basket collection. Students will select
two colors of waxed linen to twine over a corked jar. Spiral your way to
the top, complete spokes into a braided rim and embellish with beads.
Linda has a new twist on setting up each row for the spiral and she will
demonstrate and teach you all techniques needed to weave your jar.

stakes in wine and navy, with several color combinations available.
Continuous twill weave with flat oval reed for a fast and fun little
basket. The design changes with dyed round reed 3-rod wale near the
center and below the rim. Lash with cane or waxed linen and dyed
round reed rim filler. Add your tea, honey, spice jars or salt and pepper
