Quarantine - The Soldier’s Song
Lightweight Touring Version 2 – Air Transit etc.
Quarantine to provide:
• 1 x PC based computer with keyboard / mouse etc in Flightcase
• 1 x Touchscreen with USB cable
• All Quarantine equipment carries a current PAT test certificate.
The Venue should provide:
•
A space dedicated to the piece that has no other use during the
duration of the installation. It should be a minimum of 2.5m x 2.5m
and ideally not significantly larger than this. It must have a door that
can be shut. This space must be secure when the installation is not
running. It must be accessible for one wheelchair user at a time.
• Whilst it is not essential that the room is sound proofed any sound
leak into the booth must be kept to an absolute minimum.
• The installation must have a dedicated usher at all times it is in
operation. It will require a technician to be responsible for powering
up and shutting down each day.
Technical:
•
1 x 42” FLATSCREEN TV, this MUST have a VGA INPUT. This should
be on a stand with it’s centre at a height of 1.6m. A “UNICOL” type
stand is ideal.
•
A Small powered sound system including mixer. The speakers
should be on stands either side of the TV with their centre at a height
of 1.6m. (We use 2 x Tapco S5 Powered monitor speakers and Tapco
S10 powered sub with Tapco Mix 60 mixer)
•
1 x Shure SM58 Microphone on Stand (Without boom)
•
1 x Dimmable light on a stand – the look of this lamp will be
discussed with individual venues but should ideally look like a
standard theatre Fresnel.
Staffing:
• Quarantine will provide a technician to set up the space. The venue
should provide 1 x technician to assist, this technician will be trained to
power the installation up and down etc. The installation will take approx
4hrs to set up and 2 hours to take down.
