old Papal walled city. The walls still stand in a complete loop
and enclose the ancient town including the magnificent Palais
des Papes, home of the medieval popes and the Cathedrale
Notre Dame des Doms. Avignon is also the site of the famous
song “Sur le pont d’Avignon”, although the song talks about
dancing on the bridge when it actually took place under it!

Siena & San Gimignano: We visit Siena, one of Italy’s best
preserved medieval towns, located in the heart of Tuscany and

Originally created with stature in mind; the higher the tower the

The Moselle Valley: Flowing between the two massifs of the
Eifel and the Huensruck, the Moselle too is famous for its
wines. The Moselle is the narrower and more picturesque of
the two rivers as it meanders its way through this lovely

adorned with flowers and offering a warm welcome during the
Summer months.

Switzerland is an explorer’s paradise. This area centres around
the medieval town of Echternach and is brimming with artifacts

twisty alleys, the lovingly restored half timbered houses with the
typical slate roofs, the historical market-place, but also because
of its medieval town gates, churches and walls. The winegrowers and restaurant owners would also like to take the time

distinct areas. The German stretch on the north shore, between
