About
Smash Meet was founded in Barcelona, in 2013 when we envisioned
building a platform that could overcome challenges and boundaries by
the power of community, helping jumpstart an ecosystem locally led by
startups and innovative thought leadership. Catalyzed by technology, we
aim to deliver constant learning in different formats (life events, education,
tv, online, service) to an ever growing number of startups worldwide, in
different sectors.
Our mission is to propel the global startup movement. We visualize a
thriving international community of strategic hubs of high-impact, highpotential startups with access to resources empowered to maximize
success.
We seek to form strategic alliances with international partners who share
our mission and join the global community. These alliances will form the
foundation for the expansion of the Smash Meet to key strategic cities
around the globe.
What is Missing?
Everyone has ideas, but only a few become reality. Newly founded
startups require mentoring, resources and funding to convert their
ideas into success stories. Currently there is a gap between the
resources available to starting entrepreneurs and the ability of the
entrepreneurial ecosystem to provide them.
Our Solution!
We are addressing this gap by creating SmashUp; FastTalks for
professionals, entrepreneurs, speakers, mentors & VC’s in all of our
communities across the globe. SmashUp was designed to offer
social events, practical classes, and startup battles that update
existing knowledge, offer fresh insights, and is entertaining for your
weekly networking. It’s available to anyone: early-stage startup, in
any industry, from anywhere in the world. Connecting high-impact

WHAT IS SMASHUP?
Smash Meet represents a 2-hour ‘FastTalks’ event for professionals, entrepreneurs,
speakers, mentors & VC’s from a variety of industry verticals. Sessions include, startup
demo’s, panel sessions, interactive workshops and Q&A’ s covering various aspects and
stages of building a business. Attendees participate by learning from industry experts
while sharing a drink in a inspiring atmosphere. Smash Meet events are independently
organized events by our growing ambassador community that supports the Smash Meet
Model in all major continents.
HOW IT WORKS
A Smash Meet session usually runs 2 hours and the size of the event varies and is
depended from location and theme. Attendees are required to pay an admission ticket to
attend one of the Smash Tech Meet. The ticket allows access to Smash Meet and
includes a complimentary drink.
