CHRISTMAS IS A GOOD TIME TO MAKE A GIFT TO THE ITALIAN CENTER As the Italian Center enters its 5th year of operation we can be proud that we have sustained it as a place where we celebrate our cultural heritage in style and with pride. Despite the economic challenges we have faced in operating such a wonderful and active schedule of programs in our beautiful building, we have to give thanks to the many people who have donated their time and money to our cause. From all the volunteers and staff who run our summer festival, who coordinate and perform in our dance troupes, who teach and tutor our language students, who help with our films, lectures, exhibits, food demonstrations and other cultural programs, who keep the Center clean and well maintained, who maintain our Library, who keep the center open during public hours, who do the weekly radio show, and who organize the monthly Gioventu activities - to all those who support us as members, students, donors to our Building Fund and by attending our programs - we thank you for making us a successful Center of Italian life. The support we receive from contributions to the Building Fund is important to our continued success. Donors who make a contribution of $200 or more will receive the “Italian American Baseball Heroes Boxed Set” depicting 100 Italian American players in gold rimmed cards. It’s a nice Christmas gift. Please Make A Donation Today! Making a Difference: We have a new Fountain at the Italian Center donated by member Phela Vesci. The Fountain is a wonderful addition to the Italian Center and is an example of how a donation can make a difference. Grazie! Phela for your generous gift. We would also like to thank David Lanni Construction for donating and pouring the concrete pad for the fountain. We invite everyone to come by and take a look at the Fountain. You can’t miss it as it is located in the front of the Center. You can also make a difference by making a Christmas gift to the Italian Center fund.
