ANNEX A - M ODIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR UK TYPE ACCEPTANCE
Wing:
1. Control frame uprights must be oversleeved over at least 70% of their length.
2. Keel tube must be inner sleeved to at least 1 metre each side of the hangpoint.
3. 4mm 7x7 galvanised or stainless steel lower flying side rigging cables to the control
frame.
Trike:
1. M ain pylon must be sleeved over the full length.
2. Stronger rear undercarriage axles are to be used.
Installations using a hollow Nicklow reduction drive shaft must have the shaft material
changed to at least EN15T specification. A letter ‘T’ must be stamped on the end to signify
the shaft has been modified.
Reduction drives using threaded belt tension adjusters must have them replaced by through
bolts of M 8.8 specification with solid shim belt tension adjustment.
