About Us
Suzanne Lyell and Kara Coats, through PrayersOnTheSide® create religious
and spiritual artwork that is inspired by their mutual love of European art,
sculpture, language and architecture. Each piece is handcrafted at their studio
in Mobile, AL and displays the unique copyrighted and trademarked style of
writing biblical texts in English and other languages around the sides of each
piece — hence PrayersOnTheSide®. These beautiful texts are the framework
for their art.
Suzanne is from Pascagoula, Mississippi but has lived in Mobile since
Hurricane Katrina. She is married and has two children. Kara is a native of
Mobile, Alabama and is married with three children.
The mission of PrayersOnTheSide® is to create meaningful, spiritual art that
incorporates prayer within each piece providing inspiration and comfort to every
beholder.
Each original and unique piece beautifully reflects the voice in all of us to
communicate with God. PrayersOnTheSide®’s creations include gift art, custom
paintings and jewelry for you and your house!
