Absolute Genius with Dick and Dom are looking to
crown their very own ‘Absolute Tech Genius’.
We want to find a CBBC viewer who has a passion
for technology and a fantastic idea for a new piece of
technology that could help change children’s lives.
Eight children will be invited to film with us in
Manchester, where they’ll undergo a series of
tech-based challenges as well as presenting their
ideas to a panel of judges. From here, only three will
be selected to continue to hone their ideas on a very
special trip to USA.

WHO CAN ENTER?
Make sure you read the terms and conditions with a
grown-up. You must be between the ages of 9 to 13 on
the closing date of Monday 14th September.
Part of our filming will be in the USA, and although
only some of our finalists will make it that far, we
will need everyone who applies to hold a valid
passport.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
CBBC viewers who have a genuine passion for all things tech.
You’ll love a challenge, are good at teamwork, have good
ideas and be confident enough to pitch them to our judges.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IF YOU ARE SHORTLISTED?
You will need to be available for a phone/video call one evening between the
dates of the 22nd and 29th September. We will need to speak to your
parent/guardian by phone call beforehand.
It’s possible that you would be needed for two filming periods and you would be
needed to be available to attend both.
1 - UK Filming – to happen between 9th to 13th November 2015
2 - USA Filming – to happen between 8th to 12th January 2016.
Absolute Genius will liaise with your school to ensure that they are happy for
you to attend. You must have the consent of your parent/guardian to apply and
they must have read the terms and conditions

Absolute Genius will tell you if you have succeeded in reaching an initial
short-list of thirty applicants. If you haven’t heard from us by 30th September
2015 then unfortunately you have not been successful. As we will get lots of
entries for this opportunity we’re sorry but we can’t let you know why you haven’t
been successful, but thank you for applying.
