A Message from the President
G4S Boston Provides Increased
Security after Bombings
In recent months, our exceptional
work during hurricanes, floods,
bombings and civil disobedience
has grabbed the headlines. I know
there are opportunities every day
for our special G4S people to do
what their instincts and training
have prepared them for as they
help our clients respond, react and
overcome difficult situations.
Recently, I had the privilege of joining our team in Boston to
recognize some of our personnel for their exceptional response in
the aftermath of the horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon. As
you will learn in the story on page two of this issue, we were joined
by our customer leadership to say ‘thank you’ to the entire Boston
team which is led by General Manager Don Giancioppo.
But our outstanding efforts in the wake of the Boston bombings are
only part of our G4S story this spring. Since our last issue, we have
sent out many certificates of appreciation and recognition for a wide
array of extraordinary performances and lifesaving activities. It
seems that as we continue to grow as a company, we continue to
achieve great things.
Here at our Americas Headquarters in Palm Beach County, we are
in the midst of an American Heart Association fundraising event that
will help the AHA in its mission to prevent cardiovascular disease
and educate our community. During the preparation for our support,
we looked internally and found, at G4S, we have conducted more
than 5,000 CPR classes; we have 380 certified trainers and we
have saved 32 lives this year alone!
Just recently, I was told of the heroic team in Miami that ran into a
building to save the lives of people during a potentially dangerous
chemical spill. Their story is on page 11. I initially heard the report
on the car radio. When the news broadcaster said the security
officers are being called ‘true heroes’. How did I know immediately
that the officers were G4S?
(L to R) G4S Regional Account Manager Bob Ryan; BoA Senior VP Dylan Anderson; G4S
Operations Mgr. Tim Jamieson; G4S Account Manager Robert Sullivan; G4S Bank Captain
Anthony Phillips; G4S BPO Joubert Barbosa; G4S Bank Captain Luckny Guerine; G4S BPO
Wilson Henri; G4S Bank Captain Jonathan Diaz and BoA Regional Director Gary Finn
Boston, MA: The G4S team in the Boston area is receiving national recognition
for the outstanding work done in the wake of the terrorist bombings. The day of
the bombing, G4S security officers were on high alert at banking institutions,
colleges, high rises, hospitals and other corporate client locations because of
their close proximity to the crime scene and surrounding areas.
Immediately after the Boston marathon tragedy, G4S officers helped client
businesses with lock downs, enhanced coverage needs and increased patrols.
G4S provided one financial institution with security updates every two hours and
maintained contact with all sites and clients as needed. As federal and local law
enforcement expanded their search for the bombing suspects and ordered
businesses closed, G4S Boston General Manager Donald Giancioppo reported
that his office successfully added dozens of patrols and enhanced security
coverage for new and existing clients. While "Boston Strong" has been a
unifying phrase in the bombing aftermath, it certainly describes the way the G4S
office team worked together during the crisis.
G4S Officer Meets Dr. Condoleeza Rice
Beyond our bravery and professionalism is often another kind of
G4S response to challenging situations. The story on page 10 about
our team in Minnesota shows our devotion to customer service.
The G4S staff helped our customer with the technical support
needed to bring a new access control system online and on time.
These events and many more like them continue to define our
organization. The people who perform these heroic acts are G4S.
They perform these acts as individuals working for G4S and our
customers. Our training and recruiting programs, our CPO program,
BPO and USO programs have delivered for G4S and our customers
the finest workforce in our industry. This statement is not a marketing
effort or an attempt to sell a prospect, it’s a fact. We enjoy the best
people in this business and I couldn’t be more proud of our people
and our company and simply wanted to say thank you.

and Edward Castillo found the driver, a 79-year old woman,
disoriented and lost. The pair called the local sheriff’s office and
when police arrived, they identified the grandmother as a

G4S Team Responds with Life-Saving Professionalism
Cedar Rapids, IA: The G4S team at a

emergency responders to help save
the life of an unconscious employee.
G4S Officer Kelah Daniels called 9-1-1
and dispatched Officers Allan Gansemer (pictured) and Julius Hudson to
the scene. Officer Gansemer assisted
the EMS crews who used an AED to
save the employee’s life.
‘‘
The way these three
officers worked together
during this emergency and
the proficiency that they
exhibited during their day

G4S Team Responds to Medical Emergency, Saves Life
Newark, NJ: The G4S security members at a call
center are being credited for quick work that helped
save the life of an employee who was choking.
G4S Security Supervisor Angela Rosado activated
her team after receiving a report that a woman on
the third floor of the building was choking. The G4S
team called 9-1-1 and then secured an elevator to
expedite emergency crews to the scene. Rosado
found the woman was turning blue because of a
lack of oxygen. She quickly performed the Heimlich
maneuver and the obstruction was dislodged
allowing the employee to breathe normally.
Congratulations to the entire G4S team: Angela
Rosado, Daronoa Daniels, Aline Rogers and
Parviz Behrooz.

Chicago, IL: G4S Officer Elizabeth Jackson is being honored for her efforts to help victims who were involved
in a multi-vehicle car accident. Officer Jackson heard the crash while on regular patrol and ran down the street
to help those who were injured. The man who caused the accident then approached Jackson with a knife and
stabbed her in the back. Although she was injured, Officer Jackson diverted attention away from the crash victims
and she was able to prevent countless injuries to others. When Chicago Police arrived, the knife-wielding man
refused to drop his weapon and they were forced to shoot him to disarm him; He was then taken into custody.
Officer Jackson’s injuries were minor and she returned to work shortly after the incident.

…These four willingly took on tasks
to meet deadlines… Their
contributions are a significant
reason why this project has been as
successful as it is.
—Security Operations Supervisor
’’
(L toR) Jim Radi, Supervisor, Security Operations; Scott Goodson,
Manager, Corporate Safety & Security; Isaac E. Luten IV,
G4S General Manager; G4S Security Officers: John Chesnutt,
David Sura, Lucas Forster and Angie Bredemus
Minneapolis, MN: A client is giving special recognition
to several G4S officers for their support and teamwork
in implementing a new access control system across
several corporate locations.
G4S officers John Chesnutt, David Sura, Luke Forster,
and Angela Bredemus went above and beyond to serve
the client’s needs with great attitudes and leadership.
These G4S officers accepted the enormous challenges
to simultaneously train and then convert the access
control system nationwide. With their vigorous efforts,
these four G4S officers managed to meet multiple
deadlines, convert 3,000 profiles by entering new badge
numbers into each file, and then generating new access
badges for each person.
Thanks to their attention to detail, the conversion was
accurately completed avoiding all potential negative
impacts, such as unauthorized access to secured areas
and security department audit discrepancies.

Bank Officers Help Law Enforcement Solve Crimes
(L to R) Donald Giancioppo, General Manager; G4S Officers Martin King, Bill Doucette
(holding plaque) and Terry Sawyer (behind); Mike Welch, Site Manager; Rich Amoroso,
Regional Vice President and Gary Miller, BoA Regional Manager
Belfast, ME: A proactive G4S team is
being honored for helping authorities
apprehend a person who was caught
tampering with an ATM. The G4S team
called bank officials after officers first
detected the ATM tampering. G4S officers and police authorities set up a
24/7 surveillance initiative. When the
suspect returned, the surveillance allowed the officers to quickly identify him
and he was immediately apprehended.
He is now facing felony charges.
G4S Bank Officer’s Essential Information Stops Scammer
West Palm Beach, FL: Officer Mulraine (Max) Padmore (pictured left)
received recognition from G4S General Manager Ed Rodriguez, (pictured right) for his outstanding work as a Bank Protection Officer.
When Officer Padmore was alerted to an ATM scammer, he noticed
a suspicious person and recorded a car license plate number for the
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and bank security teams.
The license plate information led police to catch the suspect who was
ultimately arrested for ripping-off 30 people. The bank sent the thank you
letter (below) to G4S.
‘‘
I would like to recognize Bank Protection Officer Mulraine (Max) Padmore for all his hard work involving an

crews, the fire was contained and did not spread into the building. The G4S team received praise from our

St. Petersburg, FL: USO Kim Kirschner is
being credited with helping to contain a fire
inside a carport at a home across the street
from his regular post at a condominium
association. Upon seeing the blaze, the
G4S officer called 9-1-1, grabbed a fire
extinguisher and started attacking the
flames. Just as the extinguisher was
running out of fire suppressant, the fire
department arrived. The house is still
standing today thanks, in part, to USO
Kirschner’s quick actions.

Miami, FL: G4S team members at a metals plant are being hailed as heroes for

carrying them to safety. Fire rescue officials decided not enter the building because
of the volatile situation. So, Lt. Ryan Levy, CPO Alain Urquiola and CPO Nick

themselves in contact with the dangerous chemical as they brought out the employees
to safety. G4S Security Director David Struhl, CPO Cameron Philip, CPO Myth LouisJeune, CPO Luther Janvier and CPO Jonathan Befus helped to evacuate the
employees and supported emergency crews by setting up a staging area where fire
rescue personnel attended to the victims. The G4S team worked fast and
professionally—ultimately saving the lives of the two men who fell in the chemical
and the countless other employees who were working at the plant. Fire rescue officials
reported to the news media that the security team members who ran back into the
building to save the employees are heroes.

Honolulu, HI: For more than ten years, G4S has been
proud to be a big part of the security team at the Pro Bowl
events. This year, G4S provided security at the stadium
during the game, at practice locations and at several
pre-game celebration sites. During the TV broadcast, G4S
Chief Operating Officer, Danny Grizzard, was caught on
camera field side getting a good view of the action. G4S
General Manager Lee Burgwinkel reported more than 200
officers provided crowd control, perimeter patrols, gate
access and security checks at several different events during week-long all-star football celebration. Congratulations,
G4S Hawaii.
