2015 Annual Report - Children`s Museum of Denver
CMD_AR_2015 e.indd 1 1/21/16 3:30 PM MISSION The mission of the Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus is to create extraordinary experiences that champion the wonder and joy of childhood. CMD_AR_2015 e.indd 2 1/21/16 3:30 PM DEAR FRIENDS, What a year it was! Through a whirlwind of designing, planning, remodeling and constructing, we accomplished some amazing milestones in fiscal year 2015 (July 1, 2014 – June 30, 2015). It was a year devoted to infrastructure, both literally and figuratively, as we prepared for the completion of the expanded Children’s Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus. As you will see throughout our Annual Report, we made huge strides programmatically and in preparation for campus expansion. A BIG cause for celebration was the opening of Joy Park. Joy Park introduced a world of climbing, splashing, digging, exploring, zip lining and fort building within an expansive 1-acre space that gives our guests the opportunity to experience nature firsthand. Joy Park also served as a great preview of the exceptional exhibits and programs to come within the expanded Children’s Museum. Thank you to our friends, neighbors, stakeholders and donors that supported us as we headed toward expansion and who continued to invest in our ongoing efforts. As we embark on an exciting future, we are overwhelmingly grateful to this remarkable community for championing our growth.
