This Cable Management System is the time and money
saving alternative to traditional cable tray systems.
FLEXTRAY’s innovative steel mesh design enables faster installation
with less labor and materials. The open mesh design enables cable
networks to be expanded quickly and easily – it is ideal for
today’s sensitive telecommunications and fiber optic cables.
FLEXTRAY is available in a variety of finishes and depths of 11/2”, 2”, 4” and 6”. Widths range from 2” to 34” to meet your
cabling needs. Installation of the FLEXTRAY Cable Management
System is simple. A CLEANSHEAR® Cutter and installation tool are
all that’s needed. And, with FLEXTRAY’s complete line of accessories
and mounting options – you can easily navigate any environment.
THICKEST GAUGE METAL
FLEXTRAY minimum 5mm gauge steel is at least 30%
stronger than competitor’s lesser gauge steel.
BUILT-IN SAFETY
“T” weld safety edge construction eliminates sharp edges -avoiding injury to hands and damage to cable.

**Clear Span of Support (Support Points- lbs/ft) ***Fill Rates – Cables used for fill rate testing is .1852 diameter. FLEXTRAY fill capacity
is based on NEC allowable fill of 50%. This rule requires the cable cross-sectional areas added together may not exceed 50% of the tray
area (width x depth = fill area). Fill capacities stated are based on typical Cat5 diameters (.1852 dia.) In real world tray installations,
cables will near completely fill the cable tray when reaching the 50% cable fill (see illustration below). When the tray is full, the total of the
cable area is only 50% of the tray, this is due to empty space between the surface of the cable. Tray Selection is governed by fill rate, not
load. Flextray loads, as shown in chart , will not be exceeded before fill capacity - see illustration
Special sizes also available.
Black FLEX-E-COAT: A 60% gloss with a
film thickness of 0.4-1.2 mils capable of
withstanding a 90 degree angle bend with a
1/4” radius. This finish is compliant with
NFPA 90A, (Plenum Rated), and ASTM B117
for salt spray testing.
fill capacity
GS Pre-Galvanized Finish: Zinc coated
Carbon steel. Pre-galvanized wire before
fabrication. This finish is suitable for most
indoor controlled environments. ASTM A641.
Hot Dip Galvanizing: Provided by
immersing the product in a molten zinc
bath, this coating is applied to an average
thickness of 2.4 mils (60 microns) to 3.2
mils (80 microns). This treatment is most
suitable for outdoor applications or
situations where increased corrosion
resistance is desired.
Stainless: Corrosive resistant Stainless Steel
with no additional surface treatment. This
material option provides the most corrosion
resistant option available. Stainless steel is
used primarily in marine environments or food
processing facilities.
Special Colors (E-Coat painted finishes) are
available upon request.

UL Compliance
To meet UL compliance, Tray sizes that meet cross-section area requirements by UL must be spliced using “bolted” connectors. Flextray
petitioned Underwriters Labs for the inclusion of a single bolted connection, in conjunction with our other splicing options that offer much
faster installation options. Flexmate and Spring Splice methods can be used and meet UL requirements by utilizing a bolted splice method on
the bottom of the trays or a single GROUND BOLT.
Ground
Bolt
(p. 15)
Flexmate with Ground Bolt
Spring Splice with Ground Bolt
UL grounding requirements are based on cross sectional areas. When removal of wire, such as when horizontal or vertical fittings are created by cutting and removing
wires from the tray, this area is effected. Separate grounding methods must therefore be used.
