Airport Transfers
London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your
transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.
Only one included transfer both inbound and outbound per tour is included by Trafalgar. Transfers are by express train to a Central London Rail
Station.
Heathrow Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-21.30. Outbound transfers are timed to connect with scheduled flights departing
between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by coach. Gatwick Airport: Inbound transfers operate between 06.00-12.30. Outbound transfers are timed to
connect with scheduled flights departing between 08.00-23.00. Transfers will be by express train and coach. Transfers outside these times will be
at the passengers own expense.
In the event of unforeseen events (road or rail works, demonstrations, strikes) Trafalgar will not be held responsible for delayed or cancelled

Itinerary
Day 1 - London - Amsterdam
Greetings from our Tour Director before a scenic drive to the White Cliffs of Dover. Here we board our ferry for the short sea crossing to Calais in
France. On our arrival we'll continue by coach through Belgian countryside to Holland and Amsterdam, one of Europe's friendliest cities. This
evening, we join our Tour Director and fellow passengers for a Welcome Indonesian dinner and Drinks whilst we admire the 'Venice of the North'
from a glass-covered boat on our included canal cruise. (Welcome Dinner)

Day 2 - Amsterdam - Rhine Cruise - Heidelberg
After an orientation tour of this city featuring the Mint Tower and Royal Palace we will visit a diamond-cutting and polishing factory, (opening times
permitting). Later, we travel past Arnhem, en route to Cologne to see its magnificent Cathedral. Then via Bonn to the Rhine Valley where we embark
on a Rhine cruise gliding past terraced vineyards and medieval castles. We disembark at St. Goar with views of the impressive Lorelei Rock before
reaching beautiful Heidelberg where on a walking tour with our Tour Director we visit the cellars of the castle to see the giant wine-barrel and the
magnificent Renaissance courtyards. We will enjoy magnificent views over the University city before dinner in our hotel this evening. (Buffet
Breakfast/ Dinner)

Day 3 - Heidelberg - Black Forest - Rhine Falls - Lucerne (2 nights)
This evening, stroll through the old streets of Heidelberg and maybe visit a Student Inn. Today we drive through the fairytale Black Forest where
cuckoo-clocks were first invented, to Lake Titisee pausing to view the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen. Next into Switzerland past geranium-covered
wooden chalets to lakeside Lucerne for two nights. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 4 - Lucerne orientation & at leisure
Today's morning orientation tour features the highlights of this medieval town and also visits the Lion Monument. Afterwards enjoy time at leisure to
maybe take a trip up a nearby mountain peak for spectacular Alpine views or shop for Swiss watches and other specialities in the Old Town. Later,
why not join in the fun of a Swiss Folklore show? (Buffet Breakfast/ Dinner)
Day 5 - Lucerne - Beaunne - Paris (2 nights)
This morning we head into France, passing Belfort and the remains of the Maginot Line. Then past the onion-domed churches of Montbeliard and
through the Burgundy vineyards to visit charming Beaune. Finally, we arrive in romantic Paris. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 6 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure
Morning sightseeing with a local guide includes a drive up the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe and then to the Eiffel Tower, which we
ascend to the second level, for spectacular views over the city. Then we enjoy views of Notre Dame Cathedral and other great monuments. We also
see the Place de la Concorde and Madeleine church and enjoy a walking tour through the Luxembourg gardens enhanced by the use of our audio
system, before free time to sip aperitifs in a café, or to shop in the boutiques. Tonight don't miss the chance of going to one of Europe's best cabaret
shows! (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 7 - Paris - London
After breakfast we travel across the Battlefields of the Somme. We see the Canadian War Memorial at Vimy Ridge before we drive along the Opal
Coast viewing German World War II bunkers. On our arrival in Calais, we board our ferry to Dover, where we drive back to London. (Buffet Breakfast)

Itinerary
Day 1 - London - Paris (2 nights)
Greetings from our Tour Director, as we make our way to Dover and enjoy views the White Cliffs. From here it's a short Channel crossing to Calais
in France. We join our coach and drive to elegant, Paris for our two-night stay. This evening, why not take a tour of the city's spectacular
illuminations? Hotel: Mercure Porte D'Orleans (2 nights)
Day 2 - Paris sightseeing & at leisure
After breakfast we head out for our morning sightseeing tour which includes views of the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, Place de
la Concorde and Notre Dame Cathedral. Afterwards, enjoy time at leisure to perhaps explore the famous Louvre, shop along the Rue du Faubourg
St. Honoré or simply just relax and enjoy a café in one of this city's many coffee shops. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 3 - Paris - Lake Lucerne (2 nights)
This morning we enjoy a scenic drive through Burgundy wine country on our way to Switzerland. Later, we reach our hotel near beautiful lakeside
Lucerne where we spend the next two nights. We dine in at the hotel this evening. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4 - Lucerne at leisure
Today's orientation tour shows us the Lion Monument and the Old Town. At leisure, perhaps take a cruise on the lake or shop for Swiss watches
and chocolates. For fantastic views, maybe take a cog-wheel train to the top of one of the nearby mountains. Later, why not join in some Swiss
folklore? (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 5 - Lake Lucerne - Rhineland (Wiesbaden)
Our day begins with a drive via Zurich to Schaffhausen stopping to view the mighty Rhine Falls. Next we enjoy a scenic drive through the Black
Forest, past Lake Titisee, which brings us to Freiburg. From here we continue to Heidelberg, with its ancient castle before reaching our hotel in the
Rhineland. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6 - Rhineland (Wiesbaden) - Rhine Cruise - Amsterdam
Today's drive into the Rhine Valley reveals wine villages and castles, providing a tranquil setting for our Rhine cruise. After we disembark we rejoin
our coach and view Cologne's spectacular Cathedral en route to Amsterdam. (Buffet Breakfast)

Day 7 - Amsterdam - London
Morning orientation reveals the wonders of this lively city. After a visit to a diamond-cutting factory, we drive through Dutch and Belgian countryside to
Calais to board our ferry for the sea crossing to Dover. Then by coach we return to London. (Buffet Breakfast)

Drive along the Lake of Lucerne to come to the village of Stans, terminal of one of Switzerland’s oldest mountain railways. We climb to the top by

London Gateways: Transfers can be expensive, particularly between the Airport and central London. When you book your tour with Trafalgar your
transfers to and from the airport are included. It's that simple. Trafalgar has included a Free transfer to and from your airport and Central London.
Important – Please Note: Passengers will only be entitled to transfers to and from London Airports providing the following conditions are met:
You are staying at a London hotel, booked by Trafalgar, on the night of your arrival and the night prior to the date of your departure.
Flights are either booked by Trafalgar or detailed information on flights is provided by your Travel Agent not less than 21 days prior to departure.

Day 3 - Rome - Venice (Main)
Through the hilltop towns of the Umbria and the Apennine Mountains. Then via Bologna to the plains of Veneto and our Venice hotel. Tonight, a

Passengers or their Travel Agents supply Trafalgar with accurate flight information not less than 21 days prior to departure.

charge. However, if these “Land Only” passengers arrive outside the brochure advertised coach transfer times they must make their own
arrangements at their own expense.
Passengers purchasing “Land and Air” from Trafalgar will receive coach transfers at times published in the brochure or, if they arrive outside of
these set times, then a separate transfer will be booked for them. These transfers will be available only on the days of arrival and departure of the

Passengers purchasing pre and post tour accommodation must arrange their own transfers regardless of whether or not they have bought “Air”

Today we travel to the medieval walled town of Rothenburg on the river Tauber where we will enjoy a walking tour highlighting the extraordinary
features of this quaint and ancient, half-timbered town. Then along the romantic road past Dinkelsbuhl to lively Munich, where orientation features
the modern Olympic stadium, the ancient Marienplatz, the Hofbrauhaus and the lively street market. (when open) (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 3 - Munich - Venice (Mestre)
A scenic drive brings us to alpine ringed Innsbruck, capital of the Austrian Tyrol. An orientation tour reveals the Golden Roof and Hofburg Palace in
the old town on the river Inn. Then on to the nearby Brenner Pass and the Italian border – we are soon driving through the glorious Dolomite
Mountains before we reach the Veneto plain. Soon we arrive in the unique, canal-crossed city of Venice. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4 - Venice sightseeing – Florence
Today we have the good fortune to visit perhaps the world’s most extraordinary and romantic city. A private launch takes us along a series of canals,
lined with Palladian architecture, to the majesty of St Mark's square where we stroll past St Mark's Basilica and mighty Campanile to one of the city’s
famous glass-blowing workshops to witness this ancient craft. Free time to enjoy the attractions of Venice before returning to the mainland and our
motor coach. We cross the Apennine Mountains to Renaissance Florence, with time to shop or perhaps visit one of the museums. Tonight, maybe
try a little Tuscan gastronomy before you retire! (Buffet Breakfast)

A warm welcome from our Tour Director as we drive to Dover bidding farewell to the White Cliffs
on our sea crossing to Calais in France. Here we continue through Belgium to Amsterdam, where an orientation tour reveals the canals and
bridges of this friendly city, and stops in Dam Square.

Today, after visiting a diamond cutting and polishing factory we leave Holland via the city of Arnhem – where the 'Bridge was too far' in the World War
ll battle against Germany. We stop in Cologne with its astonishing Gothic Cathedral – spared from devastation in the last war. Then on to Boppard
where we embark for our Rhine Cruise past crumbling castles and steeply terraced vineyards. Tonight we'll enjoy dinner in our Frankfurt hotel.

Airport Transfers
Transfers on arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport will operate at 09.00 and 12.30. Passengers arriving later should make their own way to the first hotel.

Day 1 - Arrive Milan
You are met at Milan's Malpensa Airport and transferred to your hotel. Time to relax before an orientation tour features the gothic Duomo, 'La Scala'

Day 2 - Milan - Verona (3 nights)
This morning we drive to the beauty of the Italian Lakes. First we head to Lake Maggiore, pausing in elegant Stresa, opposite the romantic
Borromean islands. Then we cruise across the lake towards Verbania and drive to Lake Como stopping in Como Town. From here we continue to
the home of Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers – Verona, for our three-night stay. Before dinner at our hotel, an orientation tour on foot, shows us
the Roma arena and Juliet's balcony, as well as the gardens of Piazza Bra and the markets at Piazza delle Erbe. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 3 - Verona – Venice Excursion
This morning we make our way to the unique floating islands and palazzos of Venice. On arrival we board our private motor launch, which takes us
to St Mark’s Square, the Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Then we pause by the Byzantine Basilica of St Mark on our way to a Murano glassblowing factory to witness Venice’s most ancient craft. Later, enjoy time at leisure to explore – to visit some of the other 120 islands in the Lagoon
and feast on fresh seafood. Before we return to Verona, why not experience the romance of a gondola serenade? (Bufet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 4 - Verona - Lake Garda Excursion
Today we enjoy a scenic drive as we travel through the vineyards of the Veneto, to Lake Garda's pretty shores. We arrive in Sirmione where we
admire the Scaliger's Castle, framed by the snow-capped mountain peaks of the nearby Alps. Then there's time at leisure before returning to
Verona for the night. (Buffet Breakfast)
Day 5 - Verona – Mantua – Florence (3 nights)
Our first stop this morning is in medieval Mantua where there is time to stroll through the ancient arcaded streets and to admire the imposing Ducal
Palace as well as the Cathedral. From here we continue via Modena – famous for Ferrari, and Bologna – Italy's gourmet capital, before reaching the
rolling hills of Tuscany and Renaissance Florence. On our arrival we enjoy a sightseeing tour on foot, with a local guide, which shows us Piazza
Signoria and its Renaissance sculptures, the Cathedral and Baptistry with its famed carved Bronze doors and the Santa Croce Basilica – resting
place of the great men of Italian history. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6 - Florence – Tuscan Highlights Excursion
Today experience stunning scenery and historical adventure. First we reach the Chianti Hills and stop at the wine-town of Greve with time to visit
some of the country's finest wine cellars. Then on to medieval Siena, famous for its exciting Palio horse-race which takes place twice a year on the
fan-shaped Piazza del Campo. Next we see its imposing marble Cathedral before continuing to hilltop San Gimignano, aptly describes as a
'Medieval Manhattan' due to its numerous ancient tall towers and narrow quaint streets. Finally, we return to Florence for dinner and

Day 7 - Florence at leisure
A full day at leisure to enjoy this culturally rich city. Perhaps visit the Accademia and see Michelangelo's statue of 'David' or stroll the beautiful Boboli
gardens. There's plenty of time for shopping too…with bargains in leather and gold jewellery. Tonight, why not venture out into the hills surrounding

Today we head for the coast and Pisa where we view the incredible Leaning Tower. Then along the Italian Riviera and via Genoa, birthplace of

Day 2 - Cairo - Pyramid Excursion - Overnight Train
Sightseeing shows us the Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx, then to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid before our highlight visit to the
Pyramids of Giza, and the Sphinx. Later, we board our overnight train to Aswan. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)
Day 3 - Aswan - Nile Cruise (3 nights)
We board our cruise ship stopping to visit the High Dam, the Temple of Isis on the Island of Philae on the Unfinished Obelisk. (Buffet Breafast /
