In Bennett’s inaugural season, the Bruins possessed a 36-21 overall record resulting to a Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) and a Region 18 runner-up finish. For the performance on the field, four Bruins were tabbed as Region 18 selections including three first team selections in KyRae Kogianes, Megan Bradshaw, and Riana Splinter and second team member Megan Reed. Under the watch of Coach Bennett, the Bruins combined to hit .338 as team with an astounding 50 homeruns and averaging just under seven runs per game. The pitching staff combined for a 4.06 earned run average (ERA) while pulling out a near 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio.
