The Coretta Scott King Book Awards recognize
African American authors and illustrators who create
outstanding books for young adults and children.
The Ethnic and Multicultural Information Exchange
Round Table of the American Library Association
presents this award, which was designed to
commemorate the life and works of Martin Luther
King Jr. and to honor Coretta Scott King.
