Known to many of our UK Party Leaders as
the ‘Milky Way’ or ‘Vailattea’, we are
delighted to feature two real stars of the
system as our bases for Visions groups.
Located in the north west region of Italy,
with the French border on the edge of
village of Claviere, Visions In Education
offers options of travel by coach or by air.
With our many lift pass options, Visions
groups can potentially ski the entire Milky
Way ski area.
Altogether there are 400kms of skiable
pistes, 120 of them with artificial snow
and 88 lifts. This ski region boasts ski a
snow-sure resort with a season stretching
from December to April.

The Milky Way ski area provides huge spaces, sunny snowy expanses and
panoramic runs that all connect ancient and traditional villages with modern
towns.
The expanse and variety of this skiing area will satisfy all our Party Leaders
looking for the best experience for both the most demanding skiers, and the
beginners.
You can reach the skiing area from Pragelato thanks to the cableway
Pattemouche. It offers more than 163 skiing connected ski runs (41 blue, 92
red and 30 black slopes) and 69 ski-lift facilities.
Visions groups can experience the charming old character village of Claviere
with its blend of new and old world mountain architecture,
Claviere is Italy's oldest resort.
With a French border post at one end of the village, Claviere is situated on the
Italian/French border, a short ten minute stroll from Montgenèvre, France.
Claviere offers extensive and unrivalled access to some of the best pistes
available in Europe, and across two countries.
With 400kms of ski runs in
the Milky Way area and set

Claviere Lift Pass Options
Visions are delighted to be able to offer groups a
choice of lift passes to suit their requirements and
tour budget:Montiluna - valid for Cesana and Claviere areas only
Montiluna – valid for Cesana, Claviere, one day in Montgenevre and
one in the full Milky Way (Vialettea) area
Full Milky Way Pass (Vialettea) – includes Sestriere, Sauze d@Oulx,
Sansicario, Cesana, Oulx, and Claviere – 320km ski trails. (not
Mongenevre)

A wonderful hotel, situated in an enviable location just a short walk from
the main ski runs and ski schools.
The Hotel Clari is set in its own grounds surrounded by pine forest. With
modern furnished rooms, fully equipped with many comforts, including
satellite TV, phone, internet and hairdryers, Visions groups enjoy this unique
setting.

At an altitude of over 4,500ft, deep in the heart of the Piedmont region of Italy
lies the picturesque mountain village of Sestriere. Host of the Ski Jumping,
Nordic Combined and Cross-Country Skiing competitions at the 2006 Winter
Olympic Games. Sestriere is a fantastic resort with magnificent terrain and
exceptional amenities combined with snow sure skiing from the beginning of
December until May of each year.
Our groups start their skiing in
Sestriere which is linked to the entire
Milky Way circuit, enabling Visions
groups to access the great Italian ski
areas of Sauze D’Ouix, Sansicario,
Cesana and Claviere, as well as
Montgenevre across the French border
– all on one ski pass. These seven
connected resorts provide the
ultimate winter playground, with over
200 named pistes covering over
400kms of unbelievable skiing terrain!

For groups skiing in Sestriere we have
great accommodations in Sestriere and
nearby Pragelato.
A wonderful family run hotel, situated in the Pragelato area.
This hotel has its own swimming pool, a superb room for use as
a cinema, disco, meeting area a welcoming lounge as well as a
quieter meeting room on the ground floor with free wi-fi.
Bedrooms sleep 4 students to a room. The food is renowned in
the area with local families visiting the restaurant at weekends.
Casa Alpina is located in the quaint
village of Pragelato, a short
distance from Sestriere.
This hotel is ideal for our Visions
groups with a number of areas
available for meetings with the
group and for hosting parts of our
fun and included evening activity
programmes.
There is a conference room
equipped with a sound system,
microphone and a large screen, a
large area for activities, a games
room, a reading room and a TV
lounge.
This cosy hotel is renowned for its friendly
staff and boasts an array of facilities, TV
lounge, restaurant, sauna, disco room and
ski storage.
Guest rooms are decorated in wood and
have en-suite facilities as standard with all
Visions accommodation and sleep between 3
to 6 students. Albergo Passet also provides
free Wi-Fi in public areas.
Centrally located in the village
of Pragelato, in front of the
Olympic Ski Jump, the Albergo
Passet is an excellent family-run
hotel within walking distance of
many of the après-ski activities.
This hotel perfectly located just 35m from the slopes and 500m
from the town is a firm favourite with Visions schools. There are
rooms sleeping 2-4 with some of the best views of the slopes in
Sestriere. The restaurant provides a buffet style breakfast, whilst
in the evening it is a buffet starter/dessert with the main course
being served at the table. There are spacious meeting areas
available as well as a Karaoke (Italian style) area.
