The Explorer 50 Pilot House has been
conceived to provide everything you would
expect to find in a true semi-displacement
trawler yacht design, whilst still retaining
the flexibility to personalise the finer details.
This allows us to exactly fit the owner’s
personal cruising style and benefit from the
lastest technology and developments in
boat building techniques and state of the
art equipment.
remarkably spacious interior with a two or
three cabin layout, totally separate pilot
house with internal flybridge access and
twin side deck doors, a single level saloon
and excellent all round visibility.
A time-proven deck layout further
compliments this traditionally built, handcrafted trawler yacht which is guaranteed to
turn heads in any port or anchorage it visits.

CONTEMPORARY INTERIOR

A beautiful light finish with solid timber and hand-crafted
detailing brings a stylish, contemporary feel to this bright and
wonderfully spacious luxury interior. The single level saloon and
galley flow seamlessly into the cockpit for outside entertaining,
while the separate wheelhouse area gives superb visibility
and easy access to the side decks, flybridge and lower cabin
accommodation.
To complement the wonderful entertaining opportunities
afforded by the spacious cockpit and flybridge areas, the forward
galley is superbly equipped with top quality appliances, solid
stone work surfaces and more than ample room to prepare the
finest of dining for your family and guests.

Below decks this layout is offered with a magnificent en-suite,
midship owner’s cabin and luxury double guest cabin forward
with an island double and dedicated heads and shower
compartment. This is sleeping accommodation at its very best
and typifies the level of experience and thought that has been
captured in this wonderful interior arrangement.
For full enjoyment and comfortable living there is excellent
storage throughout in drawers, lockers, cupboards and
wardrobes - essential for ensuring the ability to carry and store
everything you will need for extended cruising and life on board
at sea, in the marina or at anchor.

Safety and comfort at sea is at the very heart of all of our designs
and paramount to your enjoyment and feeling of security whilst
on-board. Offering superb sea-keeping qualities and fantastic
directional stability from the long central keel, the Explorer 50
Pilot House has a superbly functional deck layout with a deep,
safe cockpit, wide side decks giving all round ease of access and
a spacious flybridge with fully repeated controls and twin access
from cockpit or wheelhouse.
With twin wheelhouse and bulwark doors, transom door access
and oversize deck fittings, handling at sea and mooring of this
fine trawler yacht is pure joy.

PILOT HOUSE
ENGINE ROOM & MECHANICAL
As standard the Explorer 50 Pilot House is fitted with twin
Cummins QSB 5.9 440 HP engines with conventional shaft drives
to four bladed bronze propellers. Depending on individual
cruising requirements larger engines or a single engine
configuration is available. On-board power generation is from a
standard 11 kW 240 Volt Onan diesel generator although again,
larger generator options are available.
We pride ourselves in fitting the highest quality mechanical
and electrical components in all our designs and in offering an
exceptionally high standard specification. This model comes
complete with Side-power bow thruster and reverse cycle air
conditioning as an integral part of our standard fit out.

At Explorer Motor Yachts we understand
that just as no two owners are the same,
neither are their cruising requirements. By
embracing this individuality and listening to
the owner’s needs, we are uniquely placed
to accurately interpret those requirements
and translate them into the build.
As an existing customer, the owner of our
first ‘Classic Interior’ was very specific in his
requirements and chose a traditional timber
finish and brand new interior arrangement.
By accessing the cabins via the saloon the
owners were able to achieve their dream of
a classic bridge helm whilst still retaining a
twin en-suite bathroom layout.
With handcrafted interior joinery detailing
and a beautiful mix of hand selected
timbers, we have produced a feeling of
pure luxury throughout and translated the
owners’ cruising dream into a reality.

This fine interior layout draws on years of cruising experience
to not only achieve a genuine feeling of luxury and warmth
throughout but also to provide a very practical solution to the
storage requirements of the serious cruising owner. With a
practical single level saloon and galley, separate wheelhouse with
bridge helm and beautiful two cabin en-suite accommodation,
the owner’s requirements have been exactly met.
Combine this with a safe, practical exterior and superb hull form
and you will understand why we consider the Explorer 50 Pilot
House to be a very special boat.
