MEET THE ARTS EDUCATION STAFF
Adam Recktenwald is currently enjoying his seventh year leading high school seniors through
the wild world of art with the EBHS Humanities program and his first teaching his new, original
curriculum, Illustrating the Written Word. When he's not planning wacky adventures with his
colleagues, Adam is planning wacky adventures with his wife, Leighanne, usually for their funloving daughter, Mila Sawyer. In his rare moments of spare time, Adam is a budding writer,
working diligently on his second novel and celebrating the recent second edition release of his
first, Arthur Stacy and the Gallery of the People, a surreal story about a painter's unexpected
afterlife. In even rarer moments, Adam records avant-garde noise as his lost-in-a-jungle-themed
music experiment, Arenal. But whether he's rocking, typing, teaching, or just being Dad, Adam's
always looking to get the most out of each day and looks forward to tomorrow's new exploits.
