ILUAL36 LED Turn Signal Light Kit Ferraris models 360, 575M, F355, 550, 456GT/M, F50 and F512M Installation Guide Thank you very much for purchasing the Plug and Play ILUAL36 LED Turn Signal Light Kit. We hope you’ll enjoy the much improved turn signal lights on your car. This kit can be easily installed without needing any specific knowledge. Although, we highly recommend the installation to be made by a professional if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself. The kit contains the following parts: - 2 amber 1156 BAU15S front turn signal lights – professional LED SHP LED lights - USA version: 2 or 4 red 1157 BAY15D rear turn signal lights - professional SHP LED lights or EURO version: 2 amber 1156 BA15S rear turn signal lights – professional SHP LED lights - The kit contain also our Scud Ing Swiss 7 pin flasher relay which will avoid turn signal light hyper flashing as the power consumption of LED’s is much lower than a normal 21W incandescent bulbs. This new flasher relay has also many electronic improvements compared to the old electronics of the stock flasher and will be much more reliable. It is well known that the stock flasher is prone to fail after some time. Our flasher will also make a louder clicking sound to allow the turn signal lights to be better heard. ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 1 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] USA Version 1 EURO Version USA Version 2 ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 2 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] The kit can be easily installed on the Ferrari 360, 575M, F355, 550, 456GT/M, F50 and F512M as no specific wiring is required. It is also entirely reversible. As changing the turn signal lights is already covered in the owner & workshop manuals, this guide will cover only the installation of the Flasher Relay. Before installing this ILUAL36 LED Turn Signal Light kit, please take a minute to carefully study the different SHP LED Lights. They have a different socket base: o o Led lights labeled 1156 BAU15S must be installed in the front headlights Led lights labeled 1157 BAY15D or 1156 BA15S must be installed in the rear tail lights Important: to avoid any mistakes, the installation steps must be done in exactly the following order: ❶ Remove the stock Flasher Relay ❷ Install the new front SHP LED turn signal lights ❸ Install the new rear SHP LED turn signal lights ❹ Install the new Scud Ing Swiss Flasher Relay Lights are a very important safety feature on your vehicle. We highly recommend the installation to be made by a professional if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself. Our company cannot be held responsible in case of rear lights malfunction or wrong installation which may damage the product. Carefully unpack the parts and be very careful to not put fingerprints or touch the SHP LED lights. The side LED’s are soldered with microscopic golden wires and excessive pressure on them would inevitably damage them. Never use the provided Scud Ing Swiss Flasher Relay with the stock incandescent bulb lights! As the power requirement of 4-6x21W filament bulbs is much higher, powering them with our Flasher Relay will inevitably and permanently damage it and may also cause dangerous overheating of the device. Our Flasher Relay has been specifically designed to be used only with our SHP LED Lights. To respect the strict road regulations, the side turn signal lights must NOT be replaced with LEDs. They must remain stock using the small stock incandescent light bulbs. If the side turn signal lights are replaced by LEDs, the Scud Ing Swiss Flasher Relay will hyper-flash to warn you that there is turn signal light failure. Non-respect of the above rules will void warranty. ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 3 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] ❶ Remove the stock Flasher Relay To make the installation safe, we highly recommend disconnecting the battery with the main power switch located in the front luggage compartment. Start by removing the stock Flasher Relay. By doing this, you can easily check if you removed the right relay as some Ferrari models have several 7 pin relays. - Here are the pictures of the 2 versions of the stock flasher relay, one is aquamarine colored while the recent versions are just black. Both are 7 pin relays. This flasher relay will have to be removed and will be replaced later by the new Scud Ing Flasher Relay. - You’ll need to go under the dashboard at the RHS of your car. The stock relay flasher is usually located at the passenger’s side just behind the glove box. You will see a medium sized aquamarine or black colored relay box as show on the picture below. If you’re not sure which one to unplug, you can also turn on your turn signal/indicator lights and follow the sound to the relay. Place your hand on the relay and you will be able to feel the flasher operating. Flasher relay location example on the 360 ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 4 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] - On some Ferrari models like the 360, the stock flasher relay is secured to the body with a 7mm or 4mm Allen head screw that need to be removed. - Double check that you have removed the right relay! Ferraris like the 360 model have several identical 7 pin relays (the 2 windscreen wiper relays for instance) and it would be a real bad idea to plug the new flasher relay in the inappropriate socket… To check that you removed the right relay, once the stock relay removed, switch on the indicators/turn signal lights or hazards. They should NOT work. If the indicators/turn signal lights still flash, you removed the wrong relay. ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 5 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] ❷ Install the new front SHP LED turn signal lights To install the front SHP 1156 BAU15S LED lights, please proceed as explained in your owner’s or workshop manual. ❸ Install the new rear SHP LED turn signal lights To install the rear RED SHP 1157 BAY15D (USA version) or AMBER SHP 1156 BA15S (EURO version) LED lights, please proceed as explained in your owner’s or workshop manual. ❹ Install the new Scud Ing Swiss Flasher Relay Now simply plug the new Scud Ing Swiss Flasher Relay in the relay socket. For Ferrari models where the relay is secured with a bracket, we made the relay bracket removable to make the installation easier. Just remove the bracket from the flasher relay by separating it from the Velcro and secure it with the 7mm Allen screw to the underside of the dash. Then attach the relay to the bracket by matching both Velcro tapes. ©Scud Ing Swiss www.ScudIngSwiss.com Page 6 of 7 – V2.0 [email protected] Before driving your car, make first a complete test of your new turn signal lights including the hazard lights as well as all your rear lights.
