Prosthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry Review
Speakers: Dr. Chanh Viet DDS, Dr. Thuan Le, DDS, Ph.D
Biography: Dr. Chanh Viet is Associate Clinical Professor at University of California, San Francisco. He
received his DDS degree from University of the Pacific and his post-doctorate training in Prosthodontics
from University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Viet maintains a private practice limited to
Prosthodontics
and Implant Dentistry in San Jose.
Dr. Thuan Le completed his undergraduate degree and dental training at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, before coming to UCSF
to obtain a certificate in pediatric dentistry and a Ph.D. in craniofacial
sciences. In addition to teaching and caring for patients, Dr. Le
conducts research on tooth development and inherited tooth defects.
He also is interested in the study of pediatric dentistry performed
under conscious sedation. Dr. Le is associate professor of clinical
orofacial sciences at UCSF, as well as director of the postgraduate
pediatric dentistry residency program. He was awarded the 2013 Academic
Senate Distinction in Teaching Award for faculty at UCSF five years or fewer. Dr. Le is a
member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric
Dentistry, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

thorough lecture on Phase 1 Orthodontics and How General
Dentist Can Help. It was an exciting and informative lecture.
The meeting was held at the new Santa Clara County Dental
Society Conference Center. All attendees received 4 CE
