Each of our wood prints is carefully designed and
manufactured to offer you the best possible representation
of nature. They incorporate extra-long vertical repeats
and are book matched, slip matched, or random matched,
consistent with the practices defined for each species in
classical veneering. Through the use of superior quality
papers, advanced multi-stage printing, pearlescent
pigments, and metallic inks, we achieve unmatched depth,
complexity and clarity. Some of our most recent designs
also incorporate saw cuts, chisel markings, knots and
other realistic characteristics to help you convey a more
relaxed elegance.

Environmental Benefits
Our Premium Wood Prints collection offers
you access to an array of domestic and exotic
wood species that are either no longer available
in real wood veneers, extremely difficult or
detrimental to source or too cost-prohibitive
to use.
We take great pride in offering realistic looking
paper-based alternatives to rainforest timbers
and tropical hardwoods, and we make it a
priority that our decorative and kraft papers
be sourced from responsibly managed forests.
The kraft paper used in the manufacture of our
high-pressure decorative laminates contains
approximately 40% preconsumer recycled
content and comes from suppliers who actively
plant more trees than they harvest for the
production of paper pulp.

wood or veneers. Not only do they enable you
to create a realistic, rich, and exotic looking
environment, they can also help you make a
positive contribution to preserving and protecting

The Premium Wood Prints collection has been
tested and certified by the GREENGUARD Indoor
Air Quality Program, providing assurance that it
meets strict chemical emission limits for use in
office environments and other indoor spaces, and
that it contributes to the creation of healthier
environments. It is recognized by the USGBC LEED
rating system, potentially contributing to green
building strategies and credits.

Wood Print WITH Oyster Shield
High-Wear Protection™

Oyster Shield High-Wear Protection™
Many of our Pearlescence® wood prints may be
specified with our exclusive Oyster Shield HighWear Protection,™ a surface enhancement
that provides added durability and abrasion
resistance. This enhancement makes the
wood prints suitable for both horizontal and
vertical surfaces. Products with Oyster Shield
High-Wear Protection™ exceed the NEMA
(National Electrical Manufacturers Association)
standards for abrasion resistance. Please note
that all items available with Oyster Shield HighWear Protection™ are identified as such in
this portfolio. Also, according to NEMA: “The
scratch resistance of HPDL is influenced by
lightness and gloss. Lighter colors and textured
surfaces have better scratch resistance than
darker, smoother colors. Therefore, the choice
of color and finish for your wood print should
be made to suit the particular application for
which it is intended.”
Pearlescence ®
Many of our woodprints feature pearlescent
pigments, which create a dramatic visual
effect when exposed to light. To enable the
maximum amount of light to reflect and refract
from these surfaces, Pearlescence® laminates
are manufactured with a reduced amount of
melamine and, as a result, do not meet the
NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers
Association) standards for abrasion resistance.
Therefore, Pearlescence® products are only
recommended for use on interior vertical and
non-working horizontal surfaces where abrasion
resistance is not critical. Please note that all
items with pearlescent pigments are identified
as such in this portfolio.
When selecting a Pearlescence® laminate
for a high-wear horizontal surface (such
as a restaurant workstation, retail cash
wrap, or office furniture), we recommend
you specify it with Oyster Shield HighWear Protection.™ To indicate this option
on your specification documents, add
“-O/S” after the pattern number (ex:
2613-T O/S Bronze Ribbon Mahogany,
Textured finish, Oyster Shield). There is
no upcharge for this feature. Please note:
is not available for all patterns; look
for the O on our Stock List or online at
www.laminart.com to identify the items
for which this feature is an option.
