Where Alentejo ends and Ribatejo starts, 6 km from Agolada - the
name by which this farm is known, has always belonged to the same
family.
The Mannor House
The main house as been built at the turn of the last century as the
center of this unique agriculture and game resort. In the 60s, the
house has been redone by the present owner’s father, D. António
Maria Sommer de Mello, 6th Count of Murça.
Nothing here reminds us of the city. All we see are trees, water with
lots of ducks, geese, foxes and rabbits.

distance.
To get married in Agolada means, for us to be deeply committed with
the decorations, the food and everything that contributes towards a
wonderful and great party day.
The swimming pool filled with petals or flowers, candles throughout
the lawn and around the house.
The space and surroundings are unique and being isolated in the
countryside, this allows the party to continue until the wee hours of
the morning, many times until sunrise
Lodging
The tourism accommodation business began by hosting the guests of
weddings and christenings, who wanted to stay here. The experience
was so well received that since about two years ago, the Bed &
Breakfast has become a high priority in our developing plans.

Day 1 Get Together
- Arrival of the guests.
- Transfer to Agolada.
- River boat tour.
- Special traditional chariot tour at sunset for the bride and groom.
- Wine tasting for the rest of the guests.
- Dinner in Agolada and Fado night (optional).
