CD, RANDELL MORELAND "A driver that is employed with Horizon West out of Irvington, AL called in and complimented Randell Moreland. They were both at the truck-stop in SC today and he was trying to get his tarp and bungees on the load but with the wind blowing he was having a VERY difficult time. He said Randell came over and was very polite and offered to help him. Randell helped him get his load tarped and this driver was very appreciative." We will be changing vendors for fuel cards. As you go into the terminal you will be given a new card that is not active. We will go active as a fleet and you will receive a message to make you aware of the go live date. Hornady held it's 2016 Driver Advisory Board Meeting at it's corporate office in Monroeville, AL on May 11, 2016. Effective December 16, 2017 E-Logs will be part of your daily routine. Hornady Transportation will be 100% compliant by June 30, 2017. This will give everyone several months to become proficient in the use of ELD's. To transition into this new mandate we will ask new drivers to go electronic. Drivers that do not send in their logs on time and show up on the late log report will be placed on the ELD. Drivers that receive HOS and Unsafe Driving violations during a DOT inspection will be placed on the ELD. Drivers that receive more than 5 major log violations in a calendar month, during a company audit will be placed on the ELD. Your Service Planners and Safety personnel will be asking you to volunteer to go active on the ELD. If you have any questions, contact the Safety Department. April Cookout Birmingham Cookout in April Hornady Family Photo's Hornady Bookkeeper, Olivia Johnson House got married on April 16, 2016 to Kevin House. Congratulations Kevin and Olivia!! Service Provider Supervisor, Larry Hildreth, welcomed his third grandbaby into the world on March 22, 2016. Driver, James "JJ" Johnson's daughter, Jhacayla Johnson celebrated her 8th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese! Brodie Lance Monk weighed 8pds. 8oz. and he was 20 inches long. Congratulations Larry!!! Driver, James "JJ" Johnson and his family vacationed at Universal Studios and Downtown Disney in Orlanda, FL in March! James Wilhite's daughter, Charlie enjoying the warm weather!! ASCC Cheerleaders - went to competition in Myrtle Beach in March and placed 2nd in the Large Co Ed Division and out of 19 total squads, they placed 8th overall.
