Function:
Automatic cleaning of tampon from ink residues before a print stoppage to avoid ink
residues to dry up on tampon or after a print stoppage, to remove dried-up ink residues. You can choose between automatic cleaning cycles or manual connection.
Ink residue pick up system swingable upwards:
If the cliché and ink/doctoring cup can only be changed from the front and there
is not enough space on the left or right of the tampon printing machines, it is possible to swing the ink residue pick up system away and to reposition it after
having changed the cliché and the ink/doctoring cup. A gas pressure spring supports and facilitates the swinging.

Design:
Made of grey cast iron with precision spindles. The adjusting spindels are mounted in concealed position and are protected from any contamination. Fine threaded spindles are held in solid bearings and are operated by hand wheels with
crank handles. Scale rings with zero point setting and a 0.02 mm graduation
allow for precise setting of both the carriages. All guiding paths are ground and
can be adjusted by means of setting screws. The table surface has been ground
and is equipped with T-nuts according to the DIN German Industrial Standard.
Cross and transversal carriages with measuring scale and pointer in mm graduation. Support spindles in hardened and ground design are available at extra
cost.

The variety of applications and the numerous tampon roller criteria (such as different quality, Shore hardness,
diameter ...) makes it necessary to determine the article number for each roller individually.
Please take into account:
Our tampon rollers are available in two different silicone qualities (see chart U).
Quality 36 (U internal ident no. and part of article no.) refers to a softer white silicone quality available only in Shore degrees
6, 12, 18, 24V .
Quality (U internal ident no. and part of article no.) refers to a harder reddish-brown silicone quality available only in Shore
degrees 24, 40, 55, 70V.
The first two digits of the 6-digit article number refer to the quality. The last 3 digits of the article number describe
the criteria: roller diameterQ, aluminium coreR, printing widthS and aluminium core widthT
and are precisely defined in the tables. Please see the next 3 pages to learn how to assign the three digits.
Now there is only one digit missing in the article number. This digit describes the desired silicone hardness V.
Please look at the legends to determine this digit. (also see Application Instructions.)
Example: you need a tampon roller of white silicone quality with a diameter of 101 mm,
a printing width of 35 mm, an aluminium core width of 50 mm, a core diameter of 80 mm
and a Shore hardness of 18.
You know from the table that the desired tampon roller corresponds to the last number 052.
The white silicone mass refers to quality 36. The Shore hardness of 18 is described by the digit 6 in the legend.
Now you have the article number: 366052
36 (for quality) 6 (for Shore hardness) 052 (for tampon roller)

Application instructions:
Select the tampon roller taking into account the print image dimensions and
the surface form/structure of the material to be printed.
The siliconeS printing width is determined by the print image width. The tampon roller should be approx. 5 mm wider at each side than the print image
width.
The surface form of the material to be printed determines the thickness of the
silicone layer. Bevelled material where the tampon must adapt to the surface

The surface structure of the material to be printed determines the hardness of
the silicone layerV. The rougher and coarser the structure, the harder the silicone must be in order to achieve a sharp print (and the higher the pressure
force of the machine must be).
The silicone layer is tapered towards the printing area which increases the
smooth tampon roller operation as the printing area is supported at the sides
(aluminium widthT and printing widthS).
