proyecto del MEN “Colombia bilingüe”, Richmond
elementos:
✓ Prueba de diagnóstico
✓ Cartilla Getting Ready for ICFES
✓ Prueba final

por ejemplo, I am Anna, Let’s go dancing, Yes, please, It’s big and black.
verbos, por ejemplo, watch, play, have, go, y en el lado derecho, expresiones como a drink, to the
movies, the soccer game, computer games.
de diferentes lugares o situaciones como the beach, a concert, the office, the park, a meeting.

Kite time!
In Colombia, August is a windy month
for us. It’s just right for flying kites. So
August is the time for the Kite Festival
in Villa de Leyva. Before the kite festival,
children are busy making their kites.
They hope their kites will fly highest
of all.
In India they also celebrate a kite
festival. It is called Utran. All the people
of the villages go to the top of the roofs
and fly their kites high in the air.
Also people put candles in paper
lanterns; they light them and fly the
lanterns like kites. And they stay up in
the sky all night.

The Animal Doctor
Do you like animals? Many people like to have pets
because they can be our best friend. We can play
with them, but they need us to take care of them,
too. What can you do if your pet is hurt or sick?
If your pet needs a doctor, take it to the animal
doctor. This doctor is a veterinarian; they give our
pets medicine to make them well. They also tell us
what kind of food our pet should eat. Veterinarians
also give pets vitamins to grow strong. People call
them “vets” for short.
These doctors must love all kind of animals. They
have to go to school for a very long time and learn
about every kind of animal. They learn how to make
our pets well.
