OUR INSPIRATION
Elvine pride ourself on a strong denim philosophy,
but aim to produce a varied line that goes beyond
denim, incorporating different materials, washes
and treatments in order to give the clothes an
effortless elegance. Hailing from a city hardened
by the most rainfall in Sweden, we are best known
for our well designed jackets.We strive to
produce clothes that transcend seasons, that
are easy to wear and combine with the rest of
your wardrobe, clothes with a good fit and clean
cut, ornamented with innovative details that
force others to take notice.Our design process
usually starts with a group discussion within the
company, in order to find the framework for the
collection and get a feeling about where we want
to go with it. Then we travel to interesting places
in order to get loads of impressions and
inspiration.We are very conscious about the
production process, thinking ahead in regards to
which textiles to use, how it’s going to be
produced and which details might be suitable for
the different garments. Quality is really important
to us and we regularly visit our factories to find
out about new textiles and techniques, and to get
a feel for the production process. Our aim is that
you should notice and feel this wearing our
clothes.
Elvine Mänd may not be known by a lot of people, but
her legacy and name is embroidered on the behinds and
across the hearts of many. Elvine worked as a seamstress
in Estonia during the Second World War. When the
Russians invaded, Elvine made a run for Estonia’s neighbour, Sweden.In 1975, Elvine’s daughter gave birth to a
boy named Daniel Mänd, who would revive Elvine in a
whole new way. Daniel grew up in the outskirts of Gothenburg, and quickly became one with the streets and its
graffiti culture. With the opening of his own street wear
store, Daniel realized what it was he and his friends
weren’t able to find in the clothing industry. He wanted
to create something that came entirely from him and
Gothenburg’s unrefined street culture, but made in the
tradition of his grandmother.Wanting to reach people
from the street, Daniel found inspiration in his everyday
life, and more importantly, in his friends. It was about
having a good time and bringing his community closer
together. And somehow, the founder had become the
very essence of his own brand. The unsophisticated boy
from the streets became obsessed with quality and
sophisticated craftsmanship. Daniel’s life on the streets
merged with his grandmother’s functional legacy to
create a new kind of Elvine: Sophisticated clothes for
unsophisticated behavior.
Our products are companions for the everyday life in the
city and all the aspects that come with it. We always
design and produce garments aiming at reflecting an
urban smartness and allowing for effortless elegance.
Focussing on the common behaviors and needs of
urban citizens, we make clothing for sidewalks rather
than catwalks.Our inspiration comes from all over, like
late nights, Gothenburg, traveling and Japanese people.
But most of all, our friends. From day one, we have
always tried to create clothes that we and our friends
can’t seem to find elsewhere on the market. Casual yet
sophisticated clothes with a great fit. Clothes that you
can feel comfortable wearing everyday and everywhere.
We are a clothing brand inspired by the cities unrefined
subcultures and the legacy of traditional
craftsmanship.Collaborations have always been a very
important part of our philosophy and bringing in friends
and artisans from Gothenburg have led to many laughs
and many great products. Elvine have also always
strived to give back to the city and its inhabitants. A few
years ago, we opened The Creators Inn, where creatives
from all over the world visiting Gothenburg could stay
for free. Lately we have engaged in a similar campaign
where each pair of jeans we sell gives someone with out
a home shelter for one night.

should be warm, functional and refined.
Elvine produces clothes for everyday wear, whether for going to the job an early winter
morning, crawling from pub to pub with your friends or seeing someone for a date. And it is
from these people we have found our inspiration: creating sophisticated clothes for unsophisticated behaviour.

DuPontTM ComforMaxTM Classic is manufactured using the most advanced
carding technology the provides 4-5 times more fiberfill layers than other
forms of insulation. Each single fiberfill layer is only 5-10g/sqm and this
true multi-layer structure is the secret of superior performance. It’s the
ideal insulation for high performance outdoor wear, soft shell outer wear
and even sleeping bags.

ALBANO MORGADO, SA - WOOL
The origins of the company Albano Morgado, SA date back to 1927, when
Albano Antunes Morgado started in business with a small weaving operation. The young businessman’s enterprising spirit and great force of will
meant that in 1958 he had established the conditions for creating Albano
Antunes Morgado, Lda.
Currently, the company has recourse to avant-garde technology, owns a
covered area of over 8000 m² and has a competent and interested workforce. With the full support and dedication of our staff, we have invested in
Innovation and Quality.
Quality System
We have invested in modernity, evolution and state-of-the-art technology,
therefore we are equipped with the most technically advanced machinery
and modern laboratory equipment to guarantee the quality of our finished
products.
For us, quality control is an ongoing process, from the receipt of the raw
materials to finished products of indisputable quality.
Quality control is ensured with the aid of modern laboratory equipment and in-house routines. At the end of the
production line, an intensive and minute inspection of the
cloths is carried out.

Button Bind Necklace is a new system which in a few simple steps secure
button necks that need to be predetermined lenght. The system is built
around a self-vulcanizing tape that is wrapped around the threads holding
the button to the garment which is then shaped into a soft neck using
tweezers.

the producers, retailers and consumers with a secure system to keep the
buttons in place
- No spare buttons required: By securing buttons to clothes, it eliminates
the need for supplying spare buttons and also greatly reduces the customers' claims towards potential button falling off.

Elvine does not and never will use any down or feathers
from live-plucking. Our vendors is well informed about
this and they share and respect our values.

With BIONIC-FINISH-RUDOLF we have developed a unique, patented system for
the water repellent or the combined water repellent, oil repellent and soil repellent finish of textiles. Contrary to conventional technologies we make use of the
self-orientation of star-shapedly branched polymers (so-called dendrimers),

vital seams are taped (armhole- and shoulder- seam).

This hooded jacket has a clean look on front and an elastic tape
in waist back; giving the jacket a nice and feminine shape. It is
really warm and padded with Dupont Comformax Mid loft 180g.
Hood and upper body are lined with hairy fleece. The shell
fabric has a water column of 3000mm and is breathable. The
vital seams (armhole and shoulder seam) are taped making sure
that no water will penetrate the jacket.

Padding: 120g silkpadding

This short and well-shaped jacket is our version of a female
bomber jacket. The shell fabric is waterproof and all vital seams
are taped (armhole- and shoulder- seam). Beatrice is padded
with polyester silk padding. This padding is similar to down,
since it’s softer and more voluminous than normal polyester
padding.

Tiffany is a new Elvine jacket inspired by a traditional M65, but
transformed to be very feminine. The silhouette is blinding
because of the high collar. The surface of this jacket has been
treated with oil wax and the reverse side of the fabric is PUcoated. These treatments increase water and wind resistance.

This quilted and hooded jacket has an elastic tape in the waist
that is giving the jacket a nice shape though the great volume.
The jacket is really warm and padded with 450g down. The shell
fabric is water resistant, which also wicks away moisture from
your body to keep you dry beneath. The most vital seams
(armhole and shoulder seam) have been taped to avoid any
water penetration.

Courtney is one of our heaviest and warmest jackets with
Dupont highloft downtouch 300g padding. The hood has a
detachable fake fur collar that will keep you warm in very low
temperatures. All the pockets are lined with fleece to create
extra comfort. The shell fabric has a water column of 3000mm
and is breathable. The vital seams (armhole and shoulder seam)
are taped, making sure that no water will penetrate the jacket.

Hönö is a result of collaboration with rainwear specialists
Grundéns and is made of PVC nylon, creating a softer and more
flexible coat. This coat is especially developed for women and
the PVC coated material as well as the high-frequency welded
seams are 100% wind and waterproof.

Payton is a great a-line shaped autumn coat with a crew neck
made in Portugal of 600g Morgado® blended wool. The coat
has hidden snap buttons and jetted pockets in fake leather,
which surprisingly ends in a pair of rounded patch pockets.

Sara is an over sized but yet very feminine coat made in Portugal in a textured wool mix. It is double-breasted with a dolman
sleeve inset for the perfect look. The Buttons are secured with
ButtonBind® vulcanized tape to prevent loose buttons.

Is our version of a bomber jacket and is padded with polyester
silk padding. This padding is similar to down and softer and

Padding: 100g duck down, 90%d down 10% feathers
Colours: 110 Black, 177 Wine, Night cloud
Wilmer is one of our lightest jacket this season, to exclude
extra weight the fabric is down proof, therefore down bags are
not needed. The padding consists of 100g duck down with 90%
down and 10% feathers. This high rate of down optimizes the
insulation. The jacket is all over hand quilted.

This jacket is all over printed and the quilting is made from a
heat printing technique. King is one of our lightest jackets this
season and works both on it’s own and underneath one of our
raincoats.
