1.2. Introduction______________________________________________________________________
Thank you for purchasing the Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine, the most advanced cabinet in the
market! This machine is the world’s first modern multi-platform arcade machine with an Australian
patented design. This machine can accept a variety of consoles including Xbox360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3,
and PlayStation 4, PC, as well as well as standard JAMMA and late model arcade game boards on a plug
and play system.
The Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine was designed primarily with fighting and sports video games in
mind, and while many games – such as fighters, sports games and driving games – will work for this
machine, you may find some controls more difficult when playing first person shooter games. Please note
that there are a number of control options with this machine including using your console hand controller,
keyboard and mouse, control panel trackball and buttons, and the arcade joystick and buttons.
The Xtreme Game Wizard is an incredibly diverse cabinet that provides players with unparalleled flexibility.
This machine will be continually upgraded, so your product will never grow old and boring, but will always
be getting better; because of this, we appreciate our customers taking the time to send us feedback and let
us know what upgrades they think could be made.
This manual is your guide on how to get the best out of your machine, so please take a moment to read
this manual and understand all the features of this machine before using it. The manual covers a range of
features, including connecting different consoles and game boards, adjusting the joystick to 4-way mode
from 8-way mode, removing and cleaning buttons, monitor controls, and much more! We also have a
number of ‘walk through’ and ‘how-to’ videos which you can review at:

1.3 QUICK START GUIDE
After assembling the control panel onto your Xtreme Game Wizard machine and opening either the front
or rear service door on the machine, you now need to connect your console/PC into the machine. There
are just 2 cables to connect (Please review 2.2. Product Assembly on page 6 and 2.3. How to Access
Inside/Control Panels on page 7);
-
HDMI / VGA / AV for the video from your console/PC to the machine
USB cable from the Highway Controller board to your console/PC
The Xtreme Game Wizard machine can accept PC, Xbox360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Please note that only one console /PC and one game can be used at a time. When connecting one of these
products, please make sure you follow the points below;
PC: when connecting the PC for the first time, please allow all windows drivers to install on the PC. It is very
important you allow the drivers to install before you start playing any games. If you do not allow the
windows drivers to install correctly your controls will not work properly and will not be able to operate the
machine as intended.
XBOX 360/XBOX One: to allow the Xbox360 or Xbox One to function, the corresponding hand controllers
must be connected to the arcade control panel on the Xtreme Game Wizard machine. Once these are
connected, you can use either the hand controller or the joysticks/buttons on the machine's control panel
for game play. Please note that wireless Xbox360 controllers (even with a cable) do not work with this
arcade machine. Please make sure that if you are connecting a Xbox360, you use wired Xbox360
controllers.
=
PLAYSTATION 3: after connecting the 2 cables from the PlayStation 3 to the Xtreme Game Wizard
machine, turn the console on and start playing. No need for any hand controller to be plugged in.
PLAYSTATION 4: to allow PlayStation 4 to function, the PlayStation 4 hand controllers must be connected
to the arcade control panel on the Xtreme Game Wizard machine. Once the controllers are connected via
cable, you can use either the hand controller or the joysticks/buttons on the machine's control panel for
game play.

2.5. Main Control Panel View___________________________________________________________
The control panel on the Xtreme Game Wizard machine is designed for 2 players and features Japanese
Sanwa joysticks and buttons, trackballs, USB inputs and various player options via dipswitches. The control
panel was specially created to function with PC, Xbox360, XboxOne, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 as well as
arcade JAMMA and late model game boards. Most buttons on this machine will seem familiar as they have
been replicated from the aforementioned home video game products.
However, please take your time to understand the functions of the control panel as not all
buttons/features will work on all PC/consoles/arcade modes. For example, the home button will work
perfectly well if you are using XBOX/PlayStation, but has no meaning if you are using an arcade game
board. All buttons/features will be explained below.

2.6 How to Access Back Of Machine and Insert PC / Console_____________________________
To access the back of your Xtreme Game Wizard machine, please;
Step 1 – Make sure your machine is turned off
Step 2 - Use the key to unlock the panel and unscrew the screws holding the panel in place (refer to Figure
2-6-A)
Step 3 – Carefully ease the panel back enough to allow you access to see and reach inside the machine
Locate the wiring coming from the fan which is located on this back panel and follow it till you
reach the connection point.
Step 4 – Disconnect the housing plugs and remove the panel completely
Step 5 – You can now insert your PC or Console and connect via the back of the machine (refer to section 4
for connecting the PC/Console to monitor and Highway Controller Board)
While you are here, you can also take this time to connect your PC/Console to the internet network (refer
to your specific console section for connecting to the relevant network in section 4).

3. CONSOLE & GAME DEVICES______________________________________________
The Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine is set up internally for you to simply connect your console/PC
and play. No extra modification or wiring necessary. Basic connection process is as follows (refer to Figure
3-A and Figure 3-B for visual reference):
-Step 1 – Place your console/PC inside the cabinet on the top shelf.
-Step 2 – Plug the consoles/PC power cord into one of the power sockets inside the cabinet.
-Step 3 – Plug the connection cable for your console/PC (for example, an Xbox will use an HDMI cable,
while a PC will use a VGA cable) into the All to HDMI Converter. The converter will auto detect what type of
input you’re using (HDMI, VGA, Component, etc.), so you do not need to do anything else with this; please
note, only have one console plugged in, or only one turned on, at a time.
-Step 4 – Using a USB to USB cord, plug one end into console/PC and the other into one of the USB
ports on the Highway Game Board. This will link the console to the arcade control panel.
The Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine is compatible with a PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Play Station 3,
Play Station 4, JAMMA PCB (standard arcade game board), and late model arcade game boards such as
Taito X2, etc. Please note that only one console/PC and one game can be connected at any time. Please
also note, what ever start button you press first will become Player 1, for example, if you and a friend are
playing and you press the Player 2 start button first, then the player 2 control panel side will actually be
Player 1, and vice versa.
=
The connection process for Arcade JAMMA game boards and other Late Model Arcade Game Boards is
different to the above process (refer to section 4.6). When connecting either a console or arcade game
board, please find the relevant console instructions below and follow them carefully to connect your game
device.

3.1. PC (Personal Computer) ___________________________________________________________
3.1.1 How to Connect PC
If you are able to place your PC tower inside the machine, please do so, if not please place your tower to
the side of the machine and run all the necessary cables through the back of the Xtreme Game Wizard
machine. You will see on the back bottom right hand side of the machine, a sliding metal panel. Slide this
all the way to the left. You will also see a cut out in the metal – run all the connection cables through this
cut out and plug connections in from the front of the machine.
Once your PC tower is safely inside the Xtreme Game Wizard machine (or you have successfully fed the
cables through the back of the machine) follow the below instructions to connect your PC to the Xtreme
Game Wizard:
-Step 1 – Plug PC power cord into one of the free power sockets inside the cabinet (located on the top
shelf inside the Xtreme Game Wizard machine).
Highway Entertainment, 44-48 Maitland Road, Mayfield East, 2304, NSW, Australia. Phone: +61 249
689 313. Fax +61 249 689 314. Email: [email protected]
-Step 2 – Inside the Xtreme Game Wizard Machine, you will see a VGA cable which is already
connected to the All to HDMI converter. Take the other end of this VGA cable and attach it to your PC
tower. This is all you need to do with the converter as it will auto-detect what input you are using (i.e.
VGA).
-Step 3 – Take a USB to USB cord and plug one end into the PC tower, and the other end into one of
the free USB ports on the Highway Controller Board.
3.1.2 How to Put Machine in PC Mode
Now that you have connected your PC to the machine, you need to put the machine into PC mode. You can
do this using the Player 1/Player 2 PC/Console Switch, as demonstrated in section 2-5 using Figure 2-5-B.
All you have to do is push the switch up for each player and this will put the machine into PC mode.
In PC mode, players use the trackball as a mouse (move by rolling the trackball and click by pressing down
on the trackball), but they also have the choice of connecting a traditional mouse control and keyboard if
desired. To prepare standard PC mode for playing (without PC accessories), follow the instructions below:
-Step 1 – Switch the Mouse On/Off switch is set to ‘Off’
-Step 2 – Switch the Trackball On/Off switch is set to ‘Trackball On’
-Step 3 – Switch the Joystick/Trackball switch down to ‘Trackball’
If you wish to use a traditional computer mouse control and keyboard, you will need to:
-Step 1 – Make sure that the Mouse On/Off Switch
@ is set to ‘On’
-Step 2 – Open the control panel and locate the cable connected to the control panels Mouse USB port
and Keyboard USB port and unplug them from the Highway Controller Board
-Step 3 – Connect these USB ends (ones disconnected in step 2) directly into the PC tower, so your
tower is directly connected to the control panel
-Step 4 – Close the control panel, then plug the mouse and keyboard into the relevant (Player 1 or
Player 2) Mouse USB port and Keyboard USB port on the control panel (refer to Figure 2-5-B)
PLEASE NOTE: In PC mode, only one mouse and keyboard control will work.
3.1.3 How to Connect With Steam and EA/Origin
In order to connect with Steam or Origin (powered by EA), you will first need to have Steam/Origin
downloaded onto your PC and have an active account (you can do this once you have connected your PC to
the Xtreme Game Wizard machine, however it will be easier if you download the programme/s and load
them up with games separately BEFORE connecting your PC to the Xtreme Game Wizard machine).
Before logging into your Steam or EA/Origin account, you will need to make sure that the PC connected to
the Xtreme Game Wizard machine is able to connect to your network, which you can do via the back of the
machine, as seen in section 2.6. Once you are connected to a network, you can log into your account as
Highway Entertainment, 44-48 Maitland Road, Mayfield East, 2304, NSW, Australia. Phone: +61 249
689 313. Fax +61 249 689 314. Email: [email protected]
normal and have the option of using the trackball and push buttons to scroll through and select games, or,
you can use the Keyboard and Mouse controls (refer to section 4.1.2).
HINT! If you are using Steam, it may be easier for you to display Steam in the big menu mode, as it can
make navigation using the trackball and arcade controls easier.
4.1.4 Button Mapping for PC
The controls have been pre-set at the factory and are hard wired into the Highway Controller Board. This
means that, at this time, you will be unable to customise your controls. The controls are mapped as
indicated in section 2.5.
3.2. Xbox 360__________________________________________________________________________
3.2.1 How to Connect Xbox 360
Open the front panel of the Xtreme Game Wizard machine using the key then place your Xbox360 on the
top shelf. Once the Xbox360 is seated in the machine securely, follow the below instructions to connect
your Xbox360 to the Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine:

end of this HDMI cable and plug it into your Xbox. This is all you need to do with the converter as
it will auto-detect what input you are using (i.e. HDMI).
Step 3 – Take a USB to USB cord and plug one end into the Xbox360, and the other end into one of the free
USB ports on the Highway Controller Board.
Step 4 – Take your Xbox360 hand controllers and plug them into the Highway Controller Board (you will
need to plug in two controllers if you are going to have two players). The Xbox360 controllers can
then be stored either inside the machine or inside the control panel. Alternatively, you can also
plug the controllers into the Hand Controller USB ports on the control panel and have them sitting
on the control panel as seen in Figure 4-2-1-A.
PLEASE NOTE: With Xbox 360 controllers, the Highway Controller Board doesn’t register wireless Xbox 360
controllers connected with adapter cords, however wired Xbox 360 are recognised by the board.

6. General Machine Settings and Care
6.1 Adjusting Joysticks for Different Games______________________________________
The Xtreme Game Wizard uses Sanwa Japanese made joysticks. These joysticks have a restrictor plate on
the back that allows you to change the joystick into 4-way direction from 8-way direction, or, vice versa.
Since all games are not the same and players might get frustrated if the joystick is set on the wrong setting,
our recommendation is to leave the joystick on “8-way” (factory default) until you play the games you are
planning on putting into the cabinet and have tested it with the joystick in 8-way mode.
ꊀе
If you find that your favourite games would work better in 4-way play then please follow these instructions
to restrict the joystick directions:
Step 1 – Remove the plastic restrictor plate from the joystick by pressing in the four tabs holding it in place
(Figure 6-1-A)and lift away from joystick (Figure 6-1-B).
Figure 6-1-A
Figure 6-1-B
Step 2 – Holding the restrictor plate with the two plastic tabs pointing towards you, push in the inner ring
upwards and rotate it clockwise. Likewise, if you need to put it back, do the same thing except
rotate the ring counter-clockwise. Refer to Figure 6-1-C.

Figure 6-1-C
Figure 6-1-D
-Step 3 – Place the plate back on the bottom of the joystick, you will
hear the tabs all click into place when you press the plate back on,
which will lock in the plate. Now, in 4-way mode, your joystick should
look like the image to the left (Figure 6-1-D). You will notice now, when
you look at the plate that the shape of the inner hole is angled like a
diamond, instead of a square (it might help you to remember which
ꊀе shape of the inner ring - Square means it is set to 8way is which by the
way, Diamond means 4-way).

When you open the top-right front panel of the Xtreme Game Wizard arcade cabinet, you will see the
operator test panel inside the machine. On this panel you will see a line of small buttons which are the
monitor setting buttons, and next to it is the test button, service button, the internal volume control knob,
and below all of these you will see the on/off switch.
Figure 6-2-A
The monitor settings include a Menu button, a Decrease
Brightness/Auto button, Increase Brightness button, Power button,
and a Switch Button.
If you are using Arcade Game Boards (please note the following
does not work on consoles), use the service button to put credits or
the Test button to put game boards into test/adjustment mode to
change game settings (i.e. difficulty level, game speed, extra lives,
etc.) or change game from free play to coin operation. Adjust your
volume to the speakers using the volume control knob, and turn the
machine on and off using the power switch.

6.3. Adjusting the Monitor ___________________________________________________
To make adjustments to the screen please refer to the Operator Test Panel on the previous page, where
you will be able to see the monitor control board.
To enter menu, press the first (top) monitor setting button and you will see a little menu box pop up on the
screen. Down the left side you will see four icons, these are setting options: Picture settings, On Screen
Display (OSD) settings, Display Settings and General Information.
To scroll through these options press the second (second from top) monitor setting button, and press the
menu (top) button to select one. Again, scroll through the options using the second button and highlight
one by pushing the menu button, this will appear yellow. Once you have highlighted an option, for
example Picture settings > Brightness, you can then use the Increase (second button) and Decrease (fourth
button) to adjust the setting. Once you are happy with it press the fifth button (Switch/Exit button) and
you can select another option, or press again to leave the menu.
If you turn the machine on or have put in a different game board, and the image is not fitted to screen
properly or brightness is not right, etc. you can automatically configure the image to the screen by pressing
the Increase/Auto button (second button from top). This will fit the image to the screen size, and adjust
the image colour/brightness, etc. automatically and you can still make adjustments afterwards as well.

PLEASE NOTE: There is an image “auto adjust” on the monitor, found by pressing the Increase/Auto button
(second button).
6.4. Understanding your Push Buttons__________________________________________
The push buttons used in the Xtreme Game Wizard machine are made up of different components and
over time you may need to adjust or replace the microswitches inside the push button. To remove/clean
your button, please open the joystick/button control panel and do
the following:
•
To exchange the button, carefully remove the wire from the
microswitch by gripping the plastic sleeve (if you pull from
the wire side there is a chance you will damage the
connector), push in the two tabs on the under-side of the
button and lift out. Exchange with new Sanwa push button
and replace wire onto the microswitch pin.
•
If the push button is “sticking”, generally this is not a switch
problem but more the internal parts of the button might be
dirty. This is an easy task to fix: remove the button from the
panel (as seen on the above), then, once removed, push the
smaller tabs in (as seen on right right) - you may need to
use something to help push the tabs in, i.e. a screwdriver,
pen, etc. GENTLY pop out the button. Clean inside with
alcohol wipes; disinfectant and wet cloth, etc. Then place
button back into the panel. Once clean, gently push the
button back inside the case, you should hear ⑀з
a click as the
tabs lock back in. Place back in control panel and reattach
plugs to microswitch.
6.5. Adjusting Volume in Your Machine________________________________________________
The Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Cabinet comes with 3 different volume controls. From your equipment,
the sound will go into an audio amplifier found in the bottom of the cabinet. This amplifier has 3 turn
knobs (volume, treble, bass). This volume/sound channel will then go either into 2 other volume controls;
-
Joystick Control Panel: the default setting on the machine is for console/PC mode. Use this volume
control to adjust the volume on your machine (the internal arcade volume control will not function)
-
Arcade Control Panel: this panel is found inside the coin door. To enable this volume control to
work, you will need to disconnect the volume control plug from the audio amplifier and connect to
the internal coin door volume control.
Please refer to video which will explain step by step setup.
7. SERVICING YOUR MACHINE______________________________________________
The Vewlix Xtreme Game Wizard Arcade Machine is designed to be modular and requires very little
maintenance. To maintain the life of the machine, we again recommend that the machine only be used
indoors. Because of the modular design, nearly all parts/repairs are user friendly and you will only need a

screwdriver to handle any repair work. Our design features a 4 light system, when the machine is working
perfectly;
- The on/off switch on the Operator Test Panel will be on and red in colour; refer to section 2.8
- Inside the cabinet, the power supply will be on with green or blue light
- Inside the cabinet, the LCD monitor will be on with green light
- Inside the cabinet, the Highway Controller Board will be on and have a green light
If a light is not on, it means that there is a problem with the corresponding component (i.e. if the power
supply light is not on, the power supply is the problem and needs to be replaced). With all components, it
will be a plug and play system (just unscrew or disconnect the plugs) and replace with new component. We
carry all parts in stock for immediate delivery, and if under warranty please contact our warranty support
team who will coordinate for the parts to be expressed to you at no charge.
