Théorème Panoramique IV is the result of many years of investigations and activism of the drummer
Philippe Garcia in the electro-instrumental fusion field (see Cosmik Connection, Cube... ).
Under the pseudonym KPT’N PLANET, he appears on the stage with drums, samplers, percussions, mics,
melodica and his now well known megaphone.
After a first 12 inch-vinyl through DTC Records, KPT’N PLANET offers us the fourth of his Théorèmes
panoramiques (the first three opus still unpublished at the present time...), a melodical journey into the
heart of the electro dub-drum’n’bass universe where music is at once sensual and soothing,
entertaining, tragical and frightening...
The MC JAMALSKI from New York appears on two titles Running Ragga and Peace.This album was
realized by Dominique Poutet a.k.a. Dume (Cosmik Connection, NHX, Cube...) for DTC Records.

KPT’N PLANET - BIOGRAPHY
Philippe Garcia a.k.a. « Pipon »
(Drums, Samples, Megaphone...)
Pipon lived 6 years in Turkey. Member of the Symphonical Orchestra of Istanbul, he
teached percussion at the Ankara academy and accompanied male and female popular
singers such as Sezen Aksu, Nilufère, Al pay...
Back in France, he played with Don Cherry and Barre Philips and accompanied Carolin
Carlson and Carine Wener on some of their choreographies.
In 1994 in Mâcon, he took part in the creation of the Collectif Mu with Gaël Horellou, as
well as in the foundation of a jazzclub: « Le Crescent » where he shared the stage with
Serge Lezarevitch, Steve Grossman, Ricardo del Fra, Peter King, Emmanuel
Borghi...
In 1997 he founded Cosmik Connection, an electro-drum’n’bass-jazz fusion project
joined by Jérémie Picard a.k.a. Jahbass and Gaël Horellou.
At the same time he collaborated to the album and tours of Erik Truffaz, Michel Benita,
Laurent de Wilde, among others...
As Cosmik Connection was a prize winner of numerous competitions* and recorded three
albums, Pipon developped a live under the pseudonym of KPT’N PLANET. Alone with his
drums, sampler, 4 mics, mixa, melodica and his now famous megaphone, letting his talent
blowing up he made us travel in his personal universe.
After a first furious 12 inches through DTC Records, he has just achieved his first solo
album while still activly collaborating to the projects of other artists (Erik Truffaz, Cube,
Gianmaria Testa, Laurence Olivier, Rita Marcotulli...).
« He amazes incessantly and enjoys himself to amaze. At the extremity of his megaphone
(...) he explores in turn electro, fable, drums and madness...

MC JAMALSKI - BIOGRAPHY

As an activist MC of the New York scene, he asserts himself like an emblematic figure of the
ragga/hip hop current of Big Apple.
Jamalski was spotted by KRS One in New York and was quickly integrated within the mythical hiphop band Boogie Down Production who layed down in 1991 the bases of a sound melting ragga
with hip-hop and destined to reveal numerous followers.
Then Jamalski standed on one’s own two feet, in a perpetual quest of meetings. He appeared in
the early start of the jungle scene in San Francisco in 1994 but he played also in the heart of house
parties, frequented the Boy&Soul in New York, took off to pulverize the londonians sound-systems.
To get an idea of his eclecticism, let’s quote some of his contributions : Brand New Heavies, Deee
Lite, Fatboy Slim, Aphrodite, Bobby Konders or more recently Volta & FX909 and Interlope...
The chap has been living in Paris since several years, first attracted by the effervescence of the
drum’n’bass scene. He squated in parties, battled with Dee Nasty and Big Red and realized that
the french scene is not entirely dedicated to variety.
Jamalski prepares his next solo album, announced successor of the grandiose « Roughneck
Reality » (in 1993 through Columbia). His music is an old / new school cocktail, both furious and
angelic, punk and funky, ragga and soul, collective and personal...!
He takes part with his voice to the rhythmics of KPT’N PLANET on two titles of the album
« Théorème Panoramique IV ».

Dominique POUTET a.k.a. Dume – BIOGRAPHY
(Production, Machines, Sound Engineer)
Pianist from a classical formation, graduated in notation and piano, he turns towards the
acoustic sound recording. In 1994 he created his first studio and recorded many albums of
Jazz and Classical music (D.Lockwood, E. Bex, D. Burrell, La Symphonie Fantastique...).
In 1998 Dume began to compose for videogames industry (Muséum d’Histoires Naturelles
de Paris, EMME Interactive, La Française d’image...). Interested by the « electronic »
production, he met the collective Cosmik Connection and collaborated on several tours as
well to the production of their second album («II»).
In parallel to his new functions of mastering engineer (vinyl and CD), he started to play a
Live Electro-Tekno under the pseudonyms Frix F.and Otisto 23 (Paris, Bordeaux, Bologna,
Goa...).
In 2002 he created the DTC RECORDS label with two friends : Michel Ferret, a jurist and
« business-affairs » converted in production, and President Ben, a jurist and an informatic
engineer (see discography at the bottom of the page).
His experience of electro-instrumental fusion drive him to participate in person to multiple
projects in France (Cube, Laurent de Wilde...) and in India (Arambol One, CD album in
2004).

JEAN LECOINTRE – GRAPHIC CONCEPTOR OF THE ARTWORK
Jean Lecointre is the author of many graphic creations from publishing to television,
passing through advertising and some record covers (Indochine,The Recyclers,
Rectangle, Loop, Aunt Worm...).
He regularly collaborates with the daily paper Libération for which he made several front
pages as well as a weekly report of 30 episodes in 1999.
At the present time he realizes 41 episodes of the Turkish Delights serial for Canal+.
Illustrator of the 5 volumes from La Balançoire de plasma series, from the script by Pierre
La Police (Jean-Pierre Faur Ed.), he published alone Les Dents du Loup (Thierry Magnier
Ed., 2002).
« As for the relation between my work and KPT’N PLANET’s, It rather obviously
appeared to us that we were doing more or less the same thing : sounds and
samples collage for his part, photos and materials collage for mine. »
