All questions regarding electricity, flowers, photography, telephone service, audio-visual equipment for
use in your booth should be directed to the appropriate support service contractor shown within.
Included in this service kit are order forms for various items you may require for your exhibit. The
Brede/National forms are to be returned to our office, the others to the specific contractor who is
providing the service. Please analyze and submit your order forms as early as possible.
Each linear booth is furnished with 8’ high back wall drape and 3’ high side rails. A standard one-line
booth identification sign - 7” x 44” showing your company name and booth number is included.

Guidelines for status and behavior of Independent Contractors

Those Exhibitors who employ independent contractors for the installation and dismantle of their exhibit booth displays
should make known to those independent contractors the guidelines to be followed as urged by the Exhibit Designers
& Producers Association, plus the qualifications to those guidelines. The ED&PA publicized guidelines are:
1. The independent contractor shall be given the right to provide services requested of them by an exhibitor in the
set up and dismantle of exhibits on the show floor, and they shall have the right to utilize qualified employees who shall
be listed by name in advance, if required by Show Management.
2. These services shall not conflict with existing labor regulations or contracts, and in fulfilling their obligations, the
independent contractor shall adhere to the regulations set up by hall and show management regarding entrance.
3. The independent contractor shall possess a public liability and property damage insurance policy for at least
$1,000.000.00 and shall adhere to the regulations set up by hall and show management regarding entrance
4. The independent contractor shall have a true and valid order to service from an Exhibitor in advance of the show
move-in date, and shall not solicit business upon the show floor or during the move-in and move-out dates.
5. The independent contractor will provide adequate notice to Show Management of the Exhibitors who have retained
it, and the services to be performed for each, as well as evidence of their conforming to the provisions of paragraphs 3
and 4 above. While show management may set a deadline for the receipt of this information, it will make every effort to
meet the desires of the Exhibitor, provided this can be done without disrupting the smooth installation of the show.
6. Notice from the independent contractor shall be considered sufficient evidence of the relationship between them
and their clients. Exhibitor must verify authorization for installation and dismantle upon request of show management.
7. The independent contractor is responsible for adherence to all rules of ingress and egress in a timely, professional
manner, and shall complete their assigned services within prescribed time limits.
8.
The independent contractor will share with the official contractor all reasonable costs related to their operation
including overtime pay for stewards, restoration of exhibit space to its initial condition, etc.
9. In performing work for their clients, the independent contractor shall cooperate fully with the official contractor and
assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities, especially by refraining from placing an undue burden on the service
decorator by interfering with the efficient utilization of labor by the official contractor.
10. The independent contractor, prior to starting work, will furnish show management the names of all their employees
who will be working in the hall, as well as names, addresses and telephone number of key executives for emergency
contact.
The following qualifications to the above guidelines must also be complied with:
A. Paragraph #5 - The information specified in paragraphs #3, #4, and #5 will be forwarded to Show Management and
Brede/National Exposition Services. The deadline for receipt of this information will be twenty-one days prior to the first day of
move in. The certificate of insurance must name the sponsoring organization, Brede/National Exposition Services and the
exhibit facility as co-insured.
B. Paragraph #6 – Exhibitor must verify to Brede/National Exposition Services authorization of the independent contractor
twenty-one days prior to the first move-in day.
C. The show aisles and public spaces are not a part of the Exhibitor’s booth space. The independent contractor is required to
confine all activities to within the exhibit space of the Exhibitor who has given the valid order for service.
Upon arrival at the exposition site, display companies shall check in with Brede/National on the exhibit floor.

The unpacking, installation, dismantle and packing of displays and equipment must be done by a full-time, bona fide employee
of the exhibiting company or the correct type of union labor. Brede/National Exposition Services, the official contractor, will have
skilled crafts available to assist exhibitors. Arrangements for labor should be made through or in advance of the show. Official
labor order forms are included in this exhibitor service manual. Exhibitors may elect to use an exhibitor-appointed contractor
subject to contractual obligations, security and safety requirements.
An exhibitor-appointed contractor may be used only when the following requirements have been met:
1.
Exhibitor must complete and return this form to Brede by Friday, April 8th. No Request, addendum or substitutions
received after the specified date will be considered.
2.
INDA – The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry and Brede/National are to be advised of the name, address
and contact of each exhibitor-appointed contractor being used.
3.
An original certificate of insurance from the exhibitor-appointed contractor must also be received by, April 8, 2016.
The policy must name INDA – The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, Brede/National and the Boston
Convention and Exhibition Center, as additionally insured and should also include public liability and property insurance
for at least $1,000,000.00 as well as worker’s compensation insurance in accordance with local laws.
The service contractor designated by INDA must be used without exception for electrical, plumbing, telephone,
drayage, rigging, booth cleaning, or Teamsters.

For those exhibitors who are unable to provide a United States address, the following payment
policy will be in effect.
For all fixed-price items ordered, i.e. furniture, signs, cleaning, etc. Brede requests that you
remit your check to cover these costs in U.S. dollars, along with your order. For services
wherein the total cost cannot be accurately computed in advance, i.e. display labor and
drayage, etc. we request that your representative attending the meeting be prepared to pay for
those services upon presentation of our statement prior to the close of the show.

Exhibit Labor Regulations

INSTALLATION & DISMANTLE
To assist you in the planning / preparation of your Boston, Massachusetts show – We feel you will appreciate knowing in advance the labor
jurisdictions for the Boston Area.
Exhibitors are allowed to set-up or dismantle their own booths, provided they use their own bona fide company employees who will be staffing
the exhibit. Please advise them not to bring outside labor of any kind. Exhibitors who employ display houses or exhibit manufacturers to erect
or dismantle their booth may have supervision sent in by their supplier. Supervisors of this type cannot physically erect the booth, unless they
are members in good standing of Teamsters Local 25.
OR
Non-official installation and dismantling contractors may provide supervision. Non-official contractors must use labor supplied by Brede/National
Exposition Services unless the following requirements are fulfilled.
•
Exhibitors must advise Brede/National in writing, thirty (30) days prior to set up of the show, or their intent to hire an outside
installation and dismantle company or exhibit house to supervise, install and dismantle their exhibit. The Non-Official Contractor form
must be competed and returned no less than thirty (30) days prior to setup
•
Non-official contractors must furnish proof of adequate insurance, in the form of an original copy of a policy rider listing Brede/National
Exposition Services as an additional insured, furnished by their broker to Brede/National Exposition Services’ office no less than thirty
(30) days in advance of actual installation dates
•
Non-official contractors must furnish show management the names, addresses and telephone numbers of key executives or
emergency contact.
•
All personnel must display proper identification at show site.
This statement and insurance rider are not required by the exhibitors who plan to set up and dismantle their own booths or equipment with their
own employees.
Non-official installation and dismantle contractors will be allowed on the exhibit floor only during official installation & dismantling hours, and
must be identified with a temporary work pass, either supplied by show management or the official service contractor.
Please refer to the Installation and Dismantle Labor order form for further information.
LOADING & UNLOADING
Exhibitors are allowed to perform their own drayage, provided their freight is delivered in their privately owned vehicle (POV), they use their own
bona fide company employees, and they bring the freight into the building and to their booth. POVs are defined as personally owned vehicles
such as cars, vans, station wagons, SUVs and box truck less than 24’ in length. Pick-ups with trailers attached are not to exceed 24’ in length.
Exhibitors must be able to unload/load with 20 minutes of positioning at the designated dock. Any vehicle left unattended by me towed. Venue
security will strictly enforce the 20 minute time limit.
Freight being delivered to the loading dock by common carrier, van line or any vehicle other than a POV must be unloaded and delivered by the
official drayage contractor, There is a charge for this service. Fork lifts, electric pallet jacks and pallet jacks may be used by the official drayage
contractor only.
Exhibitors are urged to ship crated freight in advance to the Brede/National Warehouse. All warehouse freight will be unloaded first during the
move-in of the show. Avoid having your vehicle wait in possibly long lines to be unloaded by taking advantage of the opportunity to have your
exhibit material moved-in early.
SAFETY
Standing on chairs, tables or other rental furniture is prohibited. This furniture is not engineered to support your standing weight. Brede/National
cannot be responsible for injuries or falls caused by the improper use of this furniture. If assistance is required in the assembly/dismantle of your
booth, please order labor on the enclosed Labor Order Form and necessary ladders/tools will be provided.
GRATUITIES
Tipping is expressly prohibited. This includes such practices as giving money, merchandise, or other special consideration for service rendered.
Do not give coffee breaks other than mid-morning and mid-afternoon, when the union has a 15-minute paid break. Meal breaks are one halfhour. Any attempt to solicit a gratuity by an employee for any service should be reported immediately to the exhibit manager and Brede.
Limits of Liability and Responsibility
1.
Brede National Exposition Services and its subcontractors shall not be held responsible for loss,
delay, or damage due to strikes, lockouts, or work stoppages of any kind.
2.
Brede National Exposition Services and its subcontractors shall not be held Responsible for loss,
injury, or damage caused by trades people or equipment furnished by Brede National Exposition
Services, or its subcontractors; except when such trades people are working or operating
equipment under the direct supervision of a supervisor designated by Brede National Exposition
Services, or its subcontractors.
3.
Brede National Exposition Services and its subcontractors shall not be liable to any extent
whatsoever for any actual, potential, or assumed loss of profits or revenues; or for any collateral
costs that may result from any loss, injury, or damage to exhibitor’s material or exhibitor personnel
which make it impossible or impractical to exhibit the exhibitor’s materials.
4.
Claims for loss, injury or damage, which are not submitted to Brede National Exposition Services
within thirty (30) days of the close of the show, on which the loss, injury or damage occurred shall
be considered waived. No suit or action shall be brought against Brede National Exposition
Services or its subcontractors more than one year after the accrual of the cause of action thereof.
5.
The placing of an order for the services of trades people and the use of our equipment by an
exhibitor or any agent of the exhibitor shall be construed as acceptance by such exhibitor or agent
of the terms and conditions set forth in Paragraphs 1 through 4 above.
Be sure your liability insurance is in effect at the exhibit site.
Brede suggests you arrange all-risk
coverage. This can usually be done by “riders” to existing policies. Contact your insurance representative.

BREDE NATIONAL EXPOSITION SERVICES IS THE OFFICIAL CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR THE HANDLING AND PROCESSING
OF ALL EXHIBITOR FREIGHT SHIPMENTS.
ALL SHIPMENTS MUST BE SENT PREPAID. All freight shipments should be made on straight bills of lading. Please label
each piece as indicated below. Correct weight must be provided; otherwise receiver’s estimated weights will prevail. Exhibitors
with shipments originating outside of the United States should contact a customs broker. Billing is based on inbound weights.
COPY OF BILL OF LADING SHOULD BE SENT DIRECTLY TO BREDE/NATIONAL EXPOSITION SERVICES.
Shipments consigned to the warehouse must arrive no later than April 20, 2016 and not before March 21, 2016. Shipments
consigned to the show site should be scheduled to arrive on your target date (to be assigned by INDA Show Management) or on
Thursday, April 28, 2016 beginning at 8 a.m. Shipments must not arrive at show site before Thursday, April 28th without
prior approval by Brede or INDA Show Management.

MACHINERY RATE* $67.50/cwt. or fraction thereof is the rate for handling any single piece of machinery weighing in excess of 5,000 lbs.
The price includes receiving/unloading at show site dock, delivery to booth, handling of empty container, removal of freight from the booth at the
show’s close and loading onto designated carrier(s).

*Machinery is defined as any mechanical or electrical device that transmits or modifies energy to perform or assist in the performance of
tasks. It normally requires an input as a trigger, transmits the modified energy to an output, which performs the desired task. Machinery is
not displays, display walls, systems nor signage. Literature and ad specialties are not considered machinery, as outlined in the machinery
handling rates herein.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:
Shipments must arrive between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to be unloaded on straight time. All shipments arriving after
2:30 p.m. and before 4:30 p.m. cannot be guaranteed to be unloaded on straight time. All shipments arriving after 4:30 p.m. will be unloaded on
overtime. Freight handled in OR out of the Exhibit Hall on an overtime basis; through no fault of Brede’s, will be charged at 25% in addition to
the direct shipping rate. Freight handled in AND out on overtime basis will be charged at 50% in addition to the direct shipping rate. Weekends
and holidays are overtime. Loose, uncrated or mixed loads as well as any shipment arriving on a vehicle requiring special handling to load or
unload will be charged 50% in addition to the direct shipping rate. Mobile vehicles will be handled at $175.00 each way. Shipments returned to
the warehouse after the close of the show will be handled at an additional charge (100-lb. minimum). All rates are based on straight time.
Warehouse shipments received after cutoff date will be charged an additional 25% of posted rates.
At the show closing please be sure to properly label all crates, cartons and skids. Labeling outgoing shipments is the
responsibility of the exhibitor or a representative. A bill of lading for each shipment must be turned in at the
Brede/National Service Desk. Blank bills of lading and shipping labels are available at the Brede/National Service Desk.
LIMITATIONS OF BREDE’S LIABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY
The consignment or delivery of a shipment to Brede by an exhibitor, or by any shipper on behalf of any exhibitor, shall be
construed as an acceptance by such exhibitor (and/or other shipper) of the terms and conditions set forth below.
Brede shall not be responsible for damage to uncrated material, materials improperly packed or for any concealed damage.
Brede shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or disappearance of exhibitor’s material after they have been delivered to
exhibitor’s booth.
Brede shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or disappearance of materials before they are picked up from exhibitor’s booth for
re-loading after the show. Bills of lading covering outgoing shipments that are furnished by Brede to exhibitors will be checked
at the actual time of pick up from the booth and corrections will be made where discrepancies occur. The exhibitor must return
the completed bill of lading to the Brede Exposition Service Desk.
Brede shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, or delay due to fire, acts of God, strikes, lockout, or work stoppages of any
kind, or any other cause beyond its control.
Brede’s liability shall be limited to physical loss or damage to the specific article that is lost, or damaged. In any event, Brede’s
maximum liability shall be limited to $.30 per pound per article, with a maximum liability of $50.00 per item and $1,000.00 per
shipment.
Brede shall not be liable to any extent whatsoever for any actual, potential, or assumed loss of profits or revenues, or for any
collateral costs, which may result from any loss or damage to an exhibitor’s material which makes it impossible or impractical to
exhibit it.
Relative to shipments consigned to the warehouse, Brede shall exercise ordinary diligence and care in the receiving, handling,
and storage of such shipments. Brede shall not be liable for loss or damage by fire, acts of God, or causes beyond its control.
In any case, the liability of Brede is limited to $.30 per pound per article, with a maximum of $50.00 per time and a maximum of
$1,000.00 per shipment, while these goods are in its warehouse or in vehicles for delivery to the show site.
INSURANCE: It is suggested that you arrange for an “all risk” insurance coverage. This can usually be done by adding
“Riders” to existing policies, often at no extra cost.
Empty container labels will be available at the service desk. Affixing these labels is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor or
your representative. All previous labels should be removed or obliterated. Brede assumes no responsibility for errors to the
aforementioned procedure, or for the removal of containers with old empty labels, or those without Brede labels, or for improper
information on empty labels, or for valuables stored in a container labeled empty.
It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to contact their designated carriers.
In order to ensure the removal of materials by the facility’s designated time, Brede shall have the authority, without further
clearance from exhibitors to change designated carriers.
Freight handling charges are the responsibility of the exhibitor to who shipments have been consigned. Also, charges for
loading out freight shipments are the responsibility of the exhibitor from whom booth shipments are made. Exhibitors may not
assign this responsibility to suppliers or customers.
Exhibitor agrees that in the event of a dispute with Brede relative to any loss or damage to Exhibitor’s material or equipment.
Exhibitor will not withhold payment of any amount due Brede for drayage or other services provided by Brede, as an offset
against the amount of the alleged loss or damage. Instead Exhibitor agrees to pay Brede by show closing for all charges
incurred and further agrees that any claim against Brede shall be pursued independently as a complete separate transaction to
be resolved on its own merit.

On the day and time you require labor, you must go the Brede Exhibit Labor Desk and pick up and sign out your labor crew. The labor
crew will not be sent to your booth without an exhibitor signature. Upon completion of the work, you must return the labor crew to the Brede
Exhibit Labor Desk and sign the crew off your booth. All exhibitors ordering labor will be charged a one-hour minimum for each person
requested, unless written cancellation is received by 11:00 a.m. on the day before labor is to be supplied. All work is to be performed under the
supervision of the exhibitor unless the exhibitor requests Brede Supervision. Labor rates increase 20% after April 8, 2016 deadline. Please

The fire codes in affect for BOSTON CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTER allows for only basic in-booth storage. You,
the exhibitor, may maintain:
•
A one-day supply of advertising material, product or literature may be kept in your booth, but not behind your booth
back wall.
•
You may not store empty cartons in or behind your booth back wall.
•
The show’s official service contractor will temporarily remove your empty crates, cartons, containers (including plastic)
and packing material if you label them with stickers marked “empty” which are found at the Service Desk. Empty items
will be returned to you during move-out.
If you require additional, accessible storage, that service may be ordered on this form.
We hereby request that property be placed into / removed from storage. We understand that
Brede/National is not responsible for the loss of or damage to any property placed into / removed from
storage.
No property will be returned to your exhibit booth during show dates, unless this request form is signed
and authorized by the exhibitor or authorized agent for your booth.
All items left in storage at the conclusion of the meeting will be returned to the exhibitor’s assigned booth
location unless otherwise instructed by the exhibitor or authorized agent for your booth.
