General Purpose
Solenoid Valve Systems
Wide Range
Solenoid Valve Systems from Burkert are suited to operate with neutral, aggressive and contaminated fluids, steam and other high temperature media.
For contaminated media Burkert offers solenoid valves with isolating diaphragms.
Burkert’s uncompromising quality is evident in our range of solenoid valves. They are available in stainless steel, brass or engineered plastics (PVDF,
PVC, PTFE). A wide range of seal materials have been proven for use with acids, lyes, steam, corrosive and toxic fluids. Water valves are developed in a
compact and water hammer free design. Burkert has introduced several HazEx™ Solenoid Valve Systems with global approvals.

Process Actuation
& Networking
Burkert’s unique remote process actuation control system, AirLINE, offers virtually any combination of valve island functionality, electronic inputs and
outputs and fieldbus connectivity in an extremely compact and revolutionary design. Allowing for Ethernet capability, Profibus and Device Net, the next
generation of pneumatic pilot valves allows very high flow rates. Airline leaves the freedom to choose between Phoenix Contact INLINE, WAGO 750,
Allen Bradley Point I/O and Siemens ET200S electronic modules. It creates a fully integrated fieldbus communication, process valve actuation and
control platform combined with the industry leader in I/O bus communication. Imagine the possibilities.

Designed to Fit Our Clients Applications – Perfectly
When we define quality as fit-for-purpose, Burkert sensors prove their exceptional quality in all relevant applications. Wherever you need to display
process values, perform control functions, monitor alarms to control flow rates, monitor leaks or control pH values Burkert sensors make the
difference. Some industries constantly demand higher communication technology with fieldbus interfaces and multi-channel designs. Some examples
are FDT/DTM and wireless while others exhibit an increasing demand for “simple” monitoring with switching output. We take care of both and, at the
same time, we combine our sensor knowledge into innovative systems.

Gas Mixer/Dispenser
Burkert Gas Mixer is a multi-gas mixer
or dispenser for 2 to 4 gasses. It can be
ordered as a mixer with max 4 inlets and
1 outlet or as a dispenser with one inlet
and max 4 outlets. It uses the unique
Burkert Mass Flow Controllers with CMOS
technology. These MFCs are known for
fast response time, low pressure drop and
superb stability. The MFCs are working
with wide range of non-corrosive gases.
A touch panel display is used to enter
set points and to display outputs. Internal
communication is based on RS485,
entirely digital. This gas mixer could be
used for various applications like food
packaging, bio reactors, cutting and
welding, flame control, heat treatment and
analyzers.

Process/Sanitary Valves
This overview represents only a few of the diaphragm valve configurations we are able to offer you.
Types 3233 / 3233SS – 2/2-way Diaphragm Valves
Manually operated these valves consist of a flow-optimized stainless steel body with various surface
finishes, a diaphragm and a hand wheel style actuator. The valves have no dead volume and can be
mounted to be self-draining, enabling high flow capacities. The valves can be autoclaved.
Types 2031 / 2103 / 2031SS – 2/2-way Diaphragm Valves
Hermetical separation of fluids from the operating mechanism by diaphragm. With its favorable flow
characteristics and zero dead volume, the valve housing enables high flow capacities and a variety of
applications to be realized. Available with classic, ELEMENT and full stainless steel pneumatic actuators
suitable for use with all control heads.
Types 3233 / 3235 – Tank Bottom Valves
Designed for control of ultra pure, sterile, aggressive or abrasive fluids. Enables optimal filling and
emptying of vessels with less dead leg. The high quality diaphragms hermetically separate critical fluids
from the actuator. The valve body consists of a single block with no weld seam, machined out of high
quality stainless steel. Valves are available with classic, ELEMENT and stainless steel actuators.
Types 3234 / 2034 – Zero Dead Leg T Valves
The zero dead leg T Valve system is designed for control of ultra pure, sterile, aggressive or abrasive
fluids. It enables optimal sampling, draining or diverting of process fluids. The valve body consists of a
single block with no weld seam, machined out of high quality stainless steel. Valves are available with
classic, ELEMENT and stainless steel actuators.

Sanitary Control Solutions
The Burkert BBS-BioPharm Line
Designing your process with RoboValves will improve your performance in down-stream processes, such as filtration or chromatography and in many
other situations where you are handling valuable products. RoboValve will save process time and minimize the number of valves and diaphragms, thus
reducing costs. The secret is NO hold-up volumes!!! This is achieved by allowing two valves, independently actuated, mounted under a single diaphragm,
saving space and eliminating T-pieces. Innovation is rarely this radical, design rarely makes such a difference.

System Solutions
Burkert products and systems can be used wherever fluid media and gases need to be measured, controlled and regulated. Whether the application is
filling, level, flow, pressure or temperature we have a solution and a uniquely comprehensive range of products to handle it, including solenoid, process
and analytical valves, pneumatic actuation, sensors and controllers. Partnering with you to create a customized system solution – it’s the Burkert
advantage.
Burkert - IFV (Integral Filter Valve) Assembly
Burkert is pleased to announce the recent product launch of its IFV (Integral Filter
Valve) Assembly. The IFV is a direct result of the continued progression toward
modularization in the Bioprocessing industry designed to increase yields and reduce
dropped batches. The integration of a sterile filter assembly and adjacent valving and
into one integral block assembly reduces contact surfaces and hold up volume, while
greatly reducing dimensional envelope constraints and installation time. The assembly
comes complete with a universal filter housing mount, two conventional hygienic
diaphragm valves and one “double” weir robolux hygienic diaphragm valve. An RTD is
provided on the condensate port of the condensate to assure sterilization of the filter
housing. A mounting pad is supplied on one side of the valve assembly to assist in field
mounting.
Automated POU Clean Steam Sampling System (Portable Mobile Option)
This system is specifically engineered to provide non-contaminated condensed steam
samples for pharmaceutical and biotechnical applications. Apart from the manual
connections of the steam supply and the sampling bottle unit, the steam sampling and
condensing cycles are fully automated. A SIP cycle is also integrated into the standard
controls to insure that each sampling cycle is free of any residual bio-burden. The
sample bottle assembly is fully autoclavable.
Clean in Place System Capabilities
Burkert is at the center of Clean in Place (CIP) technology. Controlling acidic, alkaline
and sanitizing fluids in an exact and documented sequence. Being at the center means
this intelligent solution needs to be protected from the aggressive cleaning agents
it controls. Ingress protection and chemical resistance are as important as smart
communications in this world. Custom solutions for critical processes.
Complete Panel/Cabinet Solutions by Burkert
For the majority of cabinet builders in the industry, they must pull together all of the
interior components from multiple external manufacturers. This adds not only another
layer of cost, but also a sometimes difficult integration process getting the different
products to work together.
What makes Burkert exceptional as a cabinet solution provider is the large number of
configurable interior components we already manufacture. This enables Burkert to not
only provide a lower solution cost, but also insures the compatibility of these items to
work together.
Mass Flow Controllers
Gas handling applications vary, the technology is complex and the offering range is
diverse. So obviously it is always easier if you have a partner at your side that has
a long standing reputation that goes far beyond the development of high tech and
innovative products. For more than 10 years, Bürkert has been established as a global
leader in the provision of system solutions.
