CAMP TRICKLIN’ FALLS HAVERHILL & PLAISTOW Y SUMMER CAMPS
SUMMER OF ADVENTURE
LIFETIME OF MEMORIES
OUR AWESOME YMCA CAMP STAFF ARE HERE FOR YOU!
Our experienced and trained staff are dedicated to helping your child achieve great things in a safe and fun environment this summer.
Counselors undergo extensive training in our policies and procedures which always puts the health and safety of your child first. Every
staff member participates in local trainings which cover topics including behavior management, child abuse prevention, basic child
psychology, First Aid and CPR. In addition, all staff attend YMCA training events led by nationally respected camp staff training
facilitators. We also perform in depth background and criminal history checks are performed on ALL YMCA staff.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Y summer camps are for everyone – regardless of income. The Y provides financial assistance for families who are unable to pay the full
camp fee. Subsidies are available thanks to the generous support of YMCA Annual Campaign donors. Contact your local Y or visit our
website at www.northshoreymca.org for a confidential financial assistance application or to make a donation. Applications should be
submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of the camp session to allow for processing.
WE ARE TACKLING SUMMER LEARNING LOSS
During the summer children experience “summer learning loss” when they are not involved in high quality programs with opportunities
for skill building. As a result, children can forget up to 2 months of academic instruction, particularly in the areas of reading and math
when they are not in school. Camps provide the opportunity to reduce summer learning loss in an expanded learning environment
where children are engaged and have an opportunity for enrichment. At the Y we are committed to helping prevent summer learning
loss. Research has shown that kids who are involved in camps over the summer are more prepared for the next school year. *Summer
Reading Program is available to rising 3rd graders. Contact Amy Hanagan at [email protected] for more details.
$25 deposit is required for each camp.
Summer camp balances are due 7 days prior to the start of the session. Families on e-pay will be drafted at that time.
100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!
My goal for all Haverhill and Plaistow Community YMCA Camps is for your child to have the best experience possible. I have been involved in YMCA Camping for
28 years, and have seen the impact a quality camp program has on a child, and it’s lasting effects. Please contact me directly if our camp program does not meet
or exceed your expectations. We are proud of achieving ACA (American Camping Association) accreditation which is the highest standard in the camping
industry. Our goal is to create satisfied “owners” of the Haverhill and Plaistow Community YMCA.
- Tracy Fuller, Regional Executive Director
