Round Robin??? 1960 vette Here’s the start of a new feature in the newsletter - stories and pictures of our early Corvette experiences. In 1968 I sold my 59 T-Bird and bought this 283 Corvette for $800. It was a daily driver and, while it was great in the summer, was definitely a drag in the winter - hard to start, and snow coming in the front convertible top seal. But, with snow tires, the traction wasn’t so bad! In those days, vettes weren’t that big of a deal and no one imagined that they would be highly sought-after collectibles. So, I drove it and ended up trading it even to a guy for a 65 GTO which, for me, was a huge upgrade in straight-line performance! I still remember slapping an 8-track into the tape deck I’d screwed into the vertical glove box between the seats and listening to Jefferson Airplane while taking a cruise on a sunny summer day! Let’s see some photos and stories from other members - please try to keep pictures at least ten years old. Darryl Classifieds Ron G. looking for C5 BRA to purchase used or new.
