his home on Saturday August 6 beginning at 6PM at 115 Lennox Ave, Eggertsville (Amherst) NY 14226 . Please

... And Just So You Know, now that we are a chapter club of the International Thunderbird Club, our club activities
have piqued the interest of the ITC leadership and President Gerard "Bart" Bartasavich and his wife Vera will be
joining us for the weekend of the show, driving up from Cleveland in their Retro Bird! They are planning to attend
our goodie bag party on Saturday and of course participate in our show on Sunday. Plans are in the works for a post
-show get together on Sunday evening ...stay tuned for details! Let's all roll out the red carpet and give Vera and
Bart a warm welcome to Buffalo and the Western New York area!
There’s still time to pre-register for our show and save 5 bucks! Deadline for pre-registration is August 1 and the
registration form is the last page of this newsletter.
Two Upcoming Events of Note
On Thursday July 21 the weekly Akron NY Cruise Night will feature Thunderbird Night on Main Street in
downtown Akron from 5-9 PM (716-542-4050 for info). This has become a popular event for club members in recent year and we usually have a great turn-out. This a NOT a TBird only event and there will be
all kinds of cars, trucks and bikes. A fun evening!
On Sunday July 24 the Annual Amherst Rotary Car Show, at the Northtown Recreation Center aka
“Pepsi” Center, 1615 Amherst Manor Dr, Williamsville, NY across from UB North campus. 9AM-4PM This
show is usually scheduled on the same day as our annual show, and I made scheduling arrangements with
the organizer of this show over the past winter so that our dates wouldn’t conflict. It would be great to
have YOUR CAR in our club entry! Please contact me by Monday July 18 if you would like to show your

Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruise Was Fun For One And All!
Another wonderful event was enjoyed by our
members on Saturday July 9, when we toured
the Lockport—Erie Canal Locks on a doubledecker tour boat! The weather was perfect
and we all enjoyed the history lesson (and
jokes!) from our Captain / Tour Guide. We
traveled up and then back down through the
two locks, raising a total of 50 feet in the water-powered elevator for boat traffic! Following our tour, we enjoyed lunch and had a business meeting at the nearby Shamus Restaurant. All in all a super outing, and once again
thanks to club Vice President Tom Hueston for
making all the arrangements.

Becker who also get the hard luck award due
to the broken gas tank strap on their '55 on
the way to Lockport. Long Distance award to
John Rotella and Phil Parcells for driving in
from Camillus NY (Syracuse area). For those
who might not know, John is registrar for
THE THUNDERBIRD REGISTRY, a world-wide
registry of over 60,000 Thunderbirds, including vehicle histories, photos and more. If you
haven't yet registered your T'Bird, you should
check it out! It's Free! Phil serves in a similar

International Thunderbird Club (ITC) News
International Thunderbird Club (ITC) Convention Save the Date!
Please save the dates of Tuesday September 6 though Sunday September 11 and join us in Harrisburg, PA for what is
shaping up to be a great ITC Convention. Our host hotel is the Best Western Premier Hotel & Conference Center
which has been recently refurbished and is excited to host the Thunderbirds of ITC. More information will be forthcoming as we finalize the details of our event and get the Registration Forms out to you. Please watch future issues of
our Script Magazine, The ITC Website, and The ITC Facebook Page for that detailed information. We will also publish
a Flyer, in the near future, that will provide more information and have that available at the All Ford Nationals in June,
as well. Ford Motor Company has officially made the commitment to supply a representative to the International
Thunderbird Club Convention, Harrisburg, PA, to take pictures and write a story for Ford's Club website. Well known,
Thunderbird expert and Thunderbird author of numerous publications, John Katz, will be attending the ITC Convention
Labor day week.
The ITC is the ONLY T-Bird Oriented car club recognized by the Ford Motor Company.
