SUMMER INTERNSHIP - The Ultimate Industrial Exposure
The outstanding industrial interface developed by NITIE over decades, is the soul of its success in being a “CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE”. With a
view to provide a launch-pad to the students to enter into the industry and take up corporate challenges, NITIE arranges for a Summer
Internship Programme' as an integral part of the PGDIE cour se. During this programme, students are requir ed to undertake 8 weeks
industrial projects in various diverse sector s. These live projects provide the students with a practical experience in handling complex industrial
problems; and through these projects, the companies get to test the skills of the students.
Duration of summer Internship - 8 weeks (13th April 2009 to 6th June 2009)
Selection Process - September last week / October first week.

Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) was introduced in 1971 in NITIE. Since then, the programme has been enjoying the privilege
of being the fla gship programme of the institute. PGDIE is truly a multi-dimensional course which is systematically designed, not just to teach business
management principles to the students, but to create world class leaders with cross-functional skills who can take-up enormous corporate challenges
and tackle complex industrial problems. The course structure of PGDIE is planned, keeping in view the dynamic requirements of industries and
