PRACTICE PROFILE

The Practice was formed in 1991 by Hassan Mustafa, Trevor Gwyn and Peter Maddocks. The three founding
members were friends and work colleagues since 1978 and this strong bond formed the foundations of the
Practice. We are based in central London but our projects are nationwide.
The Practice has worked as an integrated unit, moving and evolving with the times, and is involved in
construction technology, sustainability and legislation. MGM has worked closely with our many clients and this
has enabled us to develop high quality designs throughout each project. Creative and imaginative solutions
enable projects to be delivered efficiently with cost effective budgets.
The need for flexibility, efficiency and performance is always paramount in our design and management process and we have never
forgotten our success depends on our ability, not only to meet, but also to exceed our client’s expectations.
To maintain high standards and achieve our goals, MGM does not just rely on conventional wisdom, we listen. We take time to understand
our client’s business and goals, and then we deliver in the most effective way using our wealth of specialist experience and knowledge
Over the years the practice has achieved many successes carrying out a wide range of projects including Office Developments, Office
Refurbishments and fit-outs, Industrial and Warehouse Parks, Retail and Leisure schemes. In addition, MGM has over the years formed
strong business bonds with large companies including, Peugeot Motor Company Plc for whom we developed the “Blue Box concept”. Their
trust in our ability to use our specialist Architectural skills to benefit our clients in the most cost effective way has been proven by
appointing us as their Lead Architect in the UK, a position we held for 10 years from 2000-2010. We have also designed and built
showrooms and workshop facilities for Mercedes, BMW, Citroen, Nissan and Skoda to name a few.
MGM began concentrating and diversifying the business into the residential sector. Our first large client within this sector was Fairview
New Homes, a client we still have strong links with today. Within the last ten years we can now count many of the largest and prestigious
residential developers and contractors as our clients. This whole new sector within MGM has grown by “word of mouth” and now
accounts for 75% of our business. On average we oversee, design and build approximately 1,000 residential units a year.
Whilst our business moves and changes, so do we. In 1995 we employed Sid Satrettin, a young graduate who then went on to attain his
diploma in Architecture with sustainable technology in 1998 and is now one of the Directors within the practice. A little known subject
then, but sustainable technology is now at the forefront of all projects. We have successfully completed residential schemes in both code 3
& code 4 for sustainable homes.
The practice sets itself the highest standards, if we say we can, we can, if we say we will, we will.
Whilst we offer a comprehensive service, what may come as a surprise is the fresh approach we bring to everything we do.
We have moved!
MGM have now moved to new offices and whilst our
previous offices St. John Street served us well for 20
years our new offices are a vast improvement with
excellent potential for future expansion.
