A raked-back windshield and a near-horizontal

CTS Coupe’s centre-outlet exhaust is a true
concept car touch. The dihedral shape of the twin outlets
harmonizes perfectly with the car’s bold rear styling.

Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights are standard
equipment on CTS-V models and CTS models with the 3.6L V6. An adaptive
lighting system, which swivels the headlights up to 15º as you turn the steering
wheel to help you see into corners and curves at night, is also included.

The 3.6L V6’s lightweight aluminum pistons are precision engineered
to provide adequate valve clearance at a very high 11.3:1 compression ratio.

For any sporting car, abundant, responsive engine
power is an essential part of the equation. Needless
to say, CTS has power to spare. The standard
engine in CTS Sport Sedan and Sport Wagon is a
3.0-litre V6 that generates 270 horsepower. There’s
also a 304-horsepower 3.6-litre V6 that’s standard
in CTS Coupe and available in CTS Sport Sedan
and Sport Wagon. Of course, as you might expect
from Cadillac, power is only one side of these
engines’ character. They’re also notable for their
smoothness, refinement and advanced technology,
including direct fuel injection systems which help
to maximize both engine output and fuel efficiency.
Standard on both CTS V6 engines, Variable Valve Timing (VVT)
adjusts valve opening and closing times as engine speeds increase and
decrease, helping to optimize efficiency over the entire range of operation.
The CTS family offers you a choice of precision-engineered 6-speed

The CTS chassis engineers began by specifying an extremely stiff computerdesigned body structure, a sophisticated fully independent suspension and a
StabiliTrak® electronic stability control system. Then they subjected the complete
package to round after gruelling round of tuning at Germany’s legendary
Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack. The result is an agile, responsive car with
excellent high-speed stability. The engineers also kept Canadian winter driving

CTS-V ’s Magnetic Ride Control suspension is so advanced, it can
adjust the damping of the individual shock absorbers up to 1000 times per
second to provide precisely the right balance of handling agility and body control.
The most powerful engine in Cadillac history, the supercharged 6.2L V8
engine is matched with either a standard Tremec 6-speed manual transmission or
an available 6-speed automatic with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
With very massive ventilated discs at all

Yes, the available heated and ventilated 14-way
electronically adjustable Recaro seats fit you like a
fine Italian glove. The Obsidian trim on the centre
stack exudes style and exclusivity and, if you prefer,
the drama of genuine Midnight Sapele trim is also
available. Look a little closer, though, and it’s clear
that this is a 100 percent serious high-performance
driver’s car. There’s an accelerometer incorporated
into the Driver Information Centre to measure the
lateral g’s you generate in the corners. LED tracer
lights surround the tach to warn you as you approach
redline. Sueded microfibre inserts in the seats and
an available sueded steering wheel and shifter
package provide a sure grip. Luxurious? Without a
doubt. But performance is CTS-V ’s highest priority.
To signal the need for an up-shift, the LED tracers around CTS-V ’s
tachometer begin to flash as the supercharged 6.2L V8 approaches redline.
With pneumatic bolsters in the seat cushions and backrests, the
available Recaro front bucket seats are designed to hold you firmly in place.
