Discover Italy like never before and experience an area where few tourists ever go – see Southern Italy at
its best! This motorcycle tour takes you to places which have not yet attracted massive tourism – making
them miraculous wonderlands. Starting in Naples, the beautiful and crowded seaside city dominated by
Mount Vesuvius, the route takes us northwards to the famous National Park of Abruzzo, which is located
in the heart of the central Apennines.
There we will enjoy riding along winding roads and through amazingly untouched natural settings! Riding
along the scenic Appennine mountain range, also called the “spine“ of Italy, we will then navigate the
countless twisties on our way to the beautiful medieval town of Melfi, in the Basilicata region. An imposing
castle is located just above the old historical center and the view makes for some great postcard pictures.
In Matera, the European Capital of Culture for 2019, we will explore and admire the famous historical
center called Sassi, where people have been living since the Paleolithic period! Matera is without doubt
one of the oldest continuously-inhabited settlements in history.
A side trip to Alberobello will give us the opportunity to see its typical Trulli buildings, which look like
someone took them from a fairytale! Back at the Thyrrenian Coast, we will head to the Cilento area,
famous for its wonderful national park and some of the cleanest and clearest seas in Italy. Numerous
curves later, the shape of Mount Vesuvius will rise in front of us and, suddenly, our trip will have come
to an end. Bella Italy – what else can we say?
