the outer softness.
An introduction of the olgul-makki is a new development of Taegeuk poomsae. The ap-chagi actions
appear more frequently than in Taegeuk 1 Jang. The 10th Kup-grade trainees practice this poom-sae.

Hanbang – Oriental doctors used the Oriental theory of health which sought to create
a harmony between Yin and Yang (positive and negative energy). They also saw the importance of balancing the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) in
order to understand irregularities in the body which caused sickness. Oriental
doctors could give a complete diagnosis by feeling the patient’s pulse. Each doctor kept a cabinet
stocked with medicinal herbs - various roots and barks – which were individually mixed and boiled to
make medicine for patients.
