Good Turnout 44 members, up two more from last year. It was, warm 24 degrees and sunny perfect weather for
pitching shoes. We had 43 in the singles and 40 in the doubles.
With all the stats on our laptop, the six divisions in the Singles were broken down, keeping the percentages as
close as possible, and as you will see the results. We were short one player for the "C" division Doubles, so we
recruited Kelly Zardo to fill in and of course he came in 2nd with Cliff Mark as his partner. The divisions had the top
player in the division matched up with the lower average player. Tournament Director John Quackenbush did a
great job in putting the teams together, making all the divisions very competitive.
We handed out the prize money, and cleaned up around 4:00 pm, it was a long day but everyone really enjoyed the
competition and friendly badgering.
Chef Brett Meiners kept the Hamburgers and Hot dogs going to feed a bunch of hunger guys, many came back for
seconds (maybe the price was right for $2) thanks goes out to Nita Condie preparing the condiments and to all that
helped with the setup and clean-up. Special thanks to Ken Condie, Rick Adams and Ian Talsma
