hours away from the capital of Tel Aviv, the Israeli Defence Force needed to be constantly ready to fight.
The Israeli tank company in Flames of War is a small but elite force of powerful tanks backed up by
mobile infantry, guns and aircraft.

UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC
Kuteybh Debabh
(Tank Company)
The soldiers of the United Arab Republic (as Egypt wanted to be known at the time) were confident of
the ability of the combined Arab armies to destroy Israel. Their rigid training fit well with their centralised command and massed tactics.
The T-54 and T-55 were very powerful modern tanks. Their frontal armour matched the heavy IS-3M,
their gun could penetrate any Western tank, and they were as fast as the lighter T-34.

T-54 or T-55 (AARBX02)
Contains three T-54 or T-55 tanks.
Initially produced shortly after WW2, the T-54 and T-55 would end up fighting in conflicts all over the world. With armour
thicker than all but the heaviest WW2 tanks and a powerful 100mm gun it was a fearsome opponent.

IS-3M (AARBX01)
T-34/85M (AARBX03)
Contains three IS-3M tanks.
Contains three T-34/85M tanks.
A mobile pillbox, the IS-3M has heavier armour than the
T-54 and a gun capable of knocking out even the most stubborn infantry. Enemy tanks will need to close the distance to
be confident of knocking out these beasts.
With thousands of T-34/85 tanks left from World War Two,
and more produced in the years after, it was no surprise that
one of the most reliable tanks in the world ended up in the
Arab armies. Its 85mm gun might not be the biggest on
the block any more, but it is still capable of dealing to any
Israeli Shermans.

JORDANIAN
Saraya Mudr’e
(Tank Company)
Jordan’s armoured forces used the same British and American tanks as their Israeli foes. However, since
they faced mainly up-gunned Sherman tanks and AMX light tanks, they usually outmatched the Israelis
on a tank-for-tank basis.
Jordanian troops displayed an exceptional stubbornness in holding their positions. Time after time their
troops fought where they stood, refusing to give up ground.

MAGACH (AisBX01)
Sho’t (AisBX02)
Contains two Magach 2 or 3 tanks.
Contains two Sho’T or Centurion tanks.
The Jordanian M48s were technological equals to the Israel
Magach 2 tanks, their solid armour and 90mm gun meaning that firefights between the two nations were deadly.
Trained by the British, the Jordanian army was equipped
with some of the most modern vehicles available. Their Centurion tanks are armed with an accurate and fast firing 20
pdr gun that commands respect.
Jordanian players get their M48 Patton tanks by buying the Magach box (AISBX01) and their Centurion tanks by buying the Sho’t box (AISBX02) which are both part of the Israeli range.
