The Drive to Innovate
Attendee Profile
The Ohio conference on Freight is growing. While most participants at the 2013 conference come from
cities throughout Ohio, people came from 16 states plus Canada and Denmark. A core group of
professionals return year after year, but the event continues to attract new attendees each year. This
gathering effectively blends public and private sector perspectives regarding our freight network.
The high quality program offered valuable continuing educational opportunity for several professions in
2013.

Professional Engineers attending the conference collectively earned over 270 certified professional
development hours (PDH).
Attendees with American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) credentials took advantage of the
American Planning Association’s accreditation of the conference program and were able to earn
up to eleven hours of continuing maintenance (CM) credit.
For the first time ever, this event was recognized by the International Economic Development
Council as a professional development event that counts toward the recertification of Certified
Economic Developers (CEcD).
