The submission below is from one of our wonderful parents and weekly contributors to this newsletter, Stacey Laird. She
wrote asking if she could have a corner of the MVP. I thought it was front page worthy.
“I'd like to shout out a THANK YOU to all the parents that volunteer for our school’s many sports,
musical, and social events. Without volunteers, these events would not produce the extra revenue that
they do. These volunteers are the Support Team to Mott High School. If you see a volunteer at an event,
please thank them for taking time out of their day or evening to support our school and our kids.”
CC Boys capture 1st Oakland County Championship!
Submitted by Amy McNeil
The
Oakland
County meet is
one of the most
history-rich high
school meets in
the country, and
on
the
54th
running this year,
the Mott boys got
to claim their
piece of that
history. The boys
placed 5 of the
top 34 spots to
beat runner-up Milford by 26 points. Sam Albaugh and Ryan Robinson both placed in the top
ten (3rd, 5th), followed closely by Kyler Bush (18th), Luke Peterson (31st), Tommy Osika
(34th),
Brennan
Munley
(66th),
and
Simon
Albaugh
(72nd).
The girls took a top-ten finish; placing 8th. Lexi Munley (11th) and Sarah Hale (27th) both
earned
medals.

At Wednesday’s meet against Lakeland, the boys capped off their undefeated dual meet
season and clinched their North Division Championship in convincing fashion, while the
girls took 5 of the top 7 places to finish their dual season at 4-1.
Girls Swim Team Continues to Break Records - Finishes 7th at Oakland Cty Meet
Submitted by Coach Greg Palmer
The school and coaching staff would like to extend our congratulations to the young women on our swim team
that qualified for the Oakland County meet. The meet will be this weekend (10/05/13) at Lake Orion Natatorium
at Lake Orion High School. We have made tremendous strides over the last year. Last year we had only 7
individual entries, 3 relays. This year we have 13 individual entries and 3 relays. Congrats girls!

please do so soon! We have a total of 40 students registered to attend the 2014 ANGP and we need
at least 175 students to commit to going. I was hoping to include the registered students’ names in this week’s

school started with the registration packets but if you need another registration packet sent to you, please contact
me at either (248) 762-3259 cell or [email protected].
Please send your completed forms & payment to the Mott office.
We have made every effort to promote this great event for our children, so please take the time to ask your
senior whether they want to attend the party. Please plan to attend the next 2014 ANPG meeting scheduled on

CALLING ALL LADY CORSAIRS!
Please purchase a Pink “Lady Corsair” decal for your car window. These are cut-out, vinyl
decals that adhere to the outside of your car window or to any flat, smooth surface. These
decals are being brought to you by the Senior Volleyball Scholarship Athletes. All proceeds
will directly benefit eligible Volleyball athletes in the form of college scholarships.
Whether you are an artist, a scholar, an actor, an athlete, or staff, all Lady Corsairs are invited to represent
Waterford Mott with this pink design as shown here. This design is also a great way to represent pink during the
month of October, when we see pink everywhere. The decals are about 6”. Cost is $8.00 each.
They can be purchased at the home volleyball game Oct. 22 or contact Mrs. Saikalis at [email protected]
or text 248-721-2364 for ordering and delivery information.

Homecoming
2013
If anyone has a group picture of the homecoming court, please email it to me and I will include it next week. I will
also take additional homecoming photos but please save me the time and narrow it down to your favorite individual
and/or group pose.  In fact, that would be great to keep in mind for all activity photos – unless of course they have
mostly different people in the pics, thanks! Btw, no need to submit names, etc. ONLY on homecoming photos, it takes tons
of time to format when there’s so many photos since I produce this in Word and not a publishing program.
