The Aviva Women’s Tour is bringing the
world’s top cyclists to race on South
Derbyshire’s roads, all looking to claim the
ultimate prize of the Yellow Jersey. Sixteen
top teams will battle it out in one of the
leading women’s races. The biggest names
in the sport of cycling, including defending
champion Lisa Brennauer, Emma Johansson
and Marianne Vos, will go head to head
with British heroines Dani King, Hannah
Barnes and reigning World Champion Lizzie
Armitstead among others.

Rosliston Forestry Centre
The Centre has a range of cycle routes to
choose from, depending on whether you
fancy a relaxing pedal around the park for
a couple of hours, or a more strenuous
off-road biking session on some of the
grassier perimeter tracks. Bring your own
bike, or rent a bike plus accessories such
as child seats and tag-along buggies.

Cycle Centre
The Centre offers a variety of graded
traffic-free cycle trails suitable for
beginners and experienced alike, together
with cycle hire, café and children’s play
facilities.

routes in South Derbyshire including
Routes 6, 54, 63, 66, 68 and 549 of the
National Cycle Network (sustrans.org.
