Looking for a JTA Bus or Trolley stop
Look for the sign. Every JTA stop has a sign posted. They are
located every few blocks.
How to signal the operator to stop for pick-up
When the vehicle comes into view, stand up and
flag the operator to stop.
Bus Stop
How to pay
Passengers should be prepared to pay exact cash
fare (operators do not carry change), or swipe a
weekly, monthly, or youth pass. Seniors 60 or
older are free.
How to signal the operator you want to get off
As the vehicle nears your stop, signal the operator by
pushing the passenger signal strip located near the
windows. This informs the operator you wish to get
off at the next stop. If you aren’t sure where to get
off, ask the operator to call out your stop. JTA’s
operators do their best to help. Please exit through
the rear doors. This will leave the front area clear for
people who are boarding.
What to do while you’re on the vehicle
Please take a seat if one is available. If all the seats are full,
please move to the rear of the vehicle. You’ll find poles to
hold on to for greater stability. Hold small children securely.
Accessible transportation
All JTA vehicles are equipped with ramps or wheelchair lifts
to assist our passengers upon request.
Service animals
Trained service animals are welcome on all JTA vehicles.

Taking a skateboard
Skateboards must be packed in a backpack.

JTA buses operate seven days a week, 365 days per year.
However, limited service is observed on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For more information call

Bay Street Trolley - Free
Monday to Friday- 6:20 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A trolley will pass a stop approximately every 15 minutes during
peak and 30 minutes during off peak (9:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m.).
Beaches Trolley (May 8 to Labor Day) - 50¢
Friday- 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Saturday- Noon to 2 a.m.
Sunday- Noon to 6 p.m.
Holiday Hours:
Memorial Day and July 4- Noon to 2 a.m.
Labor Day- Noon to 6 p.m.
A trolley will pass a stop approximately every 15 minutes.

Training & Guidelines
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) offers an
exciting alternative compatible with today’s active lifestyle
that allows you to take your bike with you to work, school,
shopping or wherever you may go! All JTA buses are
equipped with a bike rack to accommodate two bikes.
A requirement of being able to use this great service is a full
understanding of how to load and unload your bike BEFORE
you try it. An instructional step by step training video is
available at www.jtafla.com.
Because JTA recognizes that some people are more
comfortable with personal instruction, we offer a FREE,
hands-on training class each month on how to properly load
and unload your bike.

Our Bikes on Buses service is offered at no cost, and no
permit is required.
