Day 2
Upon your arrival in Glasgow, if driving yourself you will be met by a SGH Golf representative, who will assist you with
your luggage and present you with your travel guide, before showing you to your waiting rental car.
If you are being escorted you will be met by your SGH Golf tour manager driver, who will assist you with your luggage
and show you to your waiting motor coach.
You will then transfer to the Trump Turnberry Hotel in Turnberry.
Trump Turnberry is surely one of the most beautifully situated of all hotels in Scotland.
It is set in its own 360-acre estate and faces west with panoramic views of the 2 great
golf courses, the Ailsa and the Kintyre, stretched out below. With the mountains of
Arran and the vast granite mass called Ailsa Craig jutting smoky blue from the sea in
the distance beyond, this beautiful Edwardian hotel is ideal for a memorable vacation.
Drive time from Glasgow to Turnberry is approx 40 minutes.
Overnight at the Trump Turnberry Hotel
Day 3
Today after breakfast golf will be arranged on the Trump Turnberry Ailsa Course.
Long regarded as one of the finest courses in the world, polls now regularly
acknowledge the Ailsa Course at Turnberry as one of Britain's top three courses,
confirmation that gives it eminence worldwide and regular rankings within the world's
top 20 courses. The scenic glories of the Ailsa Course are to be savored - the granite
dome of Ailsa Craig, the low form of the tip of Argyll, and the peaks of Arran, highlight
the changing patterns of light and shade. Closer at hand, the lighthouse, and the
ninth's lovely back tee are other symbols of historic Turnberry.

Day 3 Continued..
After golf you may wish to tour Culzean Castle
Culzean Castle is one of Scotland's most loved Castles, located on the
South Ayrshire coast, approximately 12 miles south of Ayr and 4 miles
west of Maybole. The castle was constructed around a previous stately
th
house by Robert Adam for David Kennedy, 10 Earl of Cassili. Situated
at the edge of a cliff, the castle offers visitors spectacular and dramatic
views from the surrounding gardens and walking paths. The castle
interior houses a fine collection of historic painting, period furniture, and
weaponry. In 1945 the top floor of the caste was gifted to General
Eisenhower, by the Kennedy family, in acknowledgement of his services
during WWII.
Overnight at the Trump Turnberry Hotel
Day 4
Today after breakfast golf will be arranged at Royal Troon Golf Club.
Frequent host to the British Open, Royal Troon is consistently ranked as one of the
World's best links courses. It was created by the hand of Willie Fernie, one of the
great early British golfers in 1878. A classic links course in every respect, the golfer is
eased into the challenge with each hole appearing to get progressively tougher.
Narrow fairways lined with trouble make tee shots critical, its bunkers are punishing
and Troon's small greens require touch and imagination. Running straight out and
back along the coast, Troon often changes dramatically from front nine to back.
Note: A second round of golf on the Troon Portland Course is included free of
charge.
After golf you may wish to tour the Burns Heritage Trail before transferring to the Fairmont in St. Andrews.
The Burns Heritage Trail consists of a circular driving trail around southwest
Scotland surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Britain.
The trail takes you on a journey through the life and landscapes of Robert
Burns. You will see the thatched cottage in Alloway where he was born on
th
January 25 , 1759. You can travel to many museums and statues
immortalizing Scotland’s famous poet along the trail. As well as view the
sight of his grave in Dumfries. The Burns Heritage Trail offers visitors the
opportunity to witness the environment of the famous poet.
Sitting on the summit of a spectacular formation, the hotel and its two
championship style golf courses have breathtaking panoramic views of the River
Tay estuary, the North Sea and the medieval skyline of St Andrews. Since this
international resort opened in the spring of 2001, it is renowned for providing an
excellent standard of service with a meticulous attention to detail. Most of the
guestrooms at Fairmont St Andrews have breathtaking panoramic views of the
River Tay estuary, the North Sea and the medieval skyline of St Andrews.
Drive time from Turnberry to Troon is approx 40 minutes.
Drive time from Troon to St. Andrews is approx 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Day 5
Today after breakfast golf will be arranged at Carnoustie Golf Links.
Regarded by many including Walter Hagen and Gary Player, as one of the best links
courses in the world, Carnoustie, though certainly long, is not a course for the
unthinking big-hitter. With judgment of wind and distance critical, every tee shot needs
careful placement to set up an approach to the green. Whilst there may be little
dramatic background scenery, the beauty of Carnoustie is to be found in the golf
course itself. The layout is such that no two consecutive holes face the same
direction, a factor that does nothing for the golfer in finding their rhythm in the face of
often-stiff winds. Carnoustie's famous burns that snake their way around the course Jockie's Burn and the Barry Burn, represent two more obstacles to posting a
respectable tally.
After golf you may wish to tour Glamis Castle
Glamis Castle is located next to the village of Glamis and is home to the
Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne. The castle was the
childhood home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, also known as the Queen
Mother. The interior of the castle is beautifully preserved and should be
visited by anyone interested in historical architecture.
Drive time from St. Andrews to Carnoustie is approx 45 minutes.
Overnight at the Fairmont Hotel
Day 6
Today after breakfast golf will be arranged on the St. Andrews Old Course.
Handicap Limit – Men: 24, Ladies: 36. The oldest golf course in the world has many
remarkable features which help make it so special to golfers around the world. It is
the Home of Golf where golf was first played 600 years ago and yet it remains a real
test of golf for today's champions. Despite its reputation and status, it is a public
course. The course is known for its particular physical features including 112 bunkers,
some of which are especially famous e.g. 'Hell' on the long 14th, 'Strath' on the short
11th and the Road Bunker at what is probably the most famous golf hole in the world,
the 17th or Road Hole (so called because a road - which is in play - runs hard against
the back edge of the green). The Old Course’s truly remarkable feature is that in
today's modern golfing world, a course which has evolved over six centuries remains
a true test of championship golf.
After golf you may wish to tour the Town of St. Andrews.
St. Andrews is known worldwide as the “home of golf”, primarily because it is the
home to the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, founded in 1754. The city was first settled
during the Mesolithic era, shortly followed by the nomadic people who settled the
modern town around 4,500 BC. The present town was established in 1140 by Bishop
Robert and it began to develop economic and political power. However, the town fell
into decay after the Scottish Reformation and the English Civil War and it wasn’t until
th
the 19 century and the introduction of the golf industry that St. Andrews turned
around. Although it is most notable for its golf, St. Andrews also boasts a world
renowned university, The University of St. Andrews, which provides the city with an
added educational culture.

Day 7
Today after breakfast golf will be arranged at Kingsbarns Golf Club.
Located directly on the North Sea coast only six miles from St. Andrews, Kingsbarns
is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking links courses ever developed.
Kingsbarns Golf Links is a real one of a kind and a contrast with Scotland’s other
famous links courses in that it is a new, man-made development. The sea figures
prominently on every hole and one's senses are continually pricked with the sights,
sounds and smells of the ocean spray. The links boasts spacious fairways, which roll
and twist through majestic dune ridges and hollows, while its large inviting greens
present the golfer with subtle challenges.
After golf you may wish to tour Falkland Palace
Falkland Palace is the former royal palace of the Scottish Kings. The palace was
th
acquired by the Scottish Crown from MacDuff of Fife in the 14 century. King James
IV and King James V transformed the castle into a royal palace between 1501 and
1541. The palace thereafter served as a popular retreat for the royal family. In the
1950s the palace was appointed to the National Trust of Scotland and was opened to
the public. The palace is surrounded by beautiful extensive gardens that are in and of
themselves worth visiting
Drive time from St. Andrews to Kingsbarns is approx 15 minutes.
