SOUND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS (PT. 1)
Voodoo Puppet configurations:
I.
Large House – Most equipment provided by venue/presenting organization.
II.
Medium/Small House – Most equipment provided by Voodoo Puppet.
I.
Large House
A. Microphone Stands provided by HOUSE
1.) 3 (three) boom stands for vocal mics. 1 (one) extra (optional) for guest.
2.) 2 (two) boom stands for micing guitar amp (on a stand). 1 (one) extra (optional) for guest amp.
B. Microphones provided by HOUSE
1.) 2 (two) SM58 (or equivalent) vocal mics (for James and Greg).
2.) 1 (one) SM57 (or equivalent) instrument mic (for guitar amp).
3.) 1 (one) Beta57 (or equivalent) instrument mic (for bass amp).
3.) 1 (one) Shure (or equivalent) wireless mic (for Tim).
4.) 8 (eight) Shure (or equivalent) drum mics. 5 (five) minimum.
C. Direct Inputs provided by HOUSE
1.) David Eden WT-600 Roadrunner Bass head has (1) XLR D.I. out (no D.I. box needed).
2.) 1 (one) extra (optional) for guest.
D. Monitor and Mixes provided by HOUSE
1.) 4 (four) monitor speakers are REQUIRED, minimum.
2.) 2 (two) to 4 (four) separate mixes (one for drums, one for front of stage, and optionally
different mixes on left and right side of front monitors) are REQUIRED.
E. PA System and Miscellaneous Equipment provided by HOUSE
1.) Sound system adequate to cover venue and to accommodate stage configuration.
2.) Reverb/digital delays for house speakers, controllable per-channel.
3.) Professional lights sufficient for event, if the event is indoors or at night.
4.) Minimum stage size of ten feet by twenty feet (10' x 20').
5.) Qualified engineer to run the sound system.
F. Backline Equipment (if backline configuration required for multi-act shows) provided by HOUSE
1.) Bass amp: David Eden, SWR, Markbass, Ampeg, or equivalent.
Optimum: David Eden WT800B World Tour Head.
2.) Bass cabinet: David Eden, SWR, Markbass, Ampeg, or equivalent,
with at least 4 (or more) 10” drivers and one horn.
Optimum: David Eden D410XLT (top) and D115XLT or D118XL (bottom).
3.) Drums: Quality 5-piece (or more) drum set (DW, Gretsch, Premier, Yamaha, Pearl,
preferred), with at least 2 (two) ride cymbals and 1 (one) crash cymbal (or more),
and two floor toms if possible.

4.) 1 (one) instrument mic (SM57) for guitar amp (on stand).
5.) 5 (five) piece Samson drum mic kit: 1 kick drum mic, 1 snare mic, 3 (three) tom mics.
B. Amps/Cabinets Provided by VOODOO PUPPET
1.) David Eden WT-600 Roadrunner bass head.
2.) 1 or 2 (one or two) David Eden D210XLT bass cabs.
3.) Carr “The Vincent,” 7W/33W, 1x12” guitar amp or Fender Deluxe, 40W, 1x12”.
C. PA Speakers, Monitor, Amps, Mixers provided by VOODOO PUPPET
1.) 2 (two) Yorkville Elite EX401S passive speakers (2-way, 15” driver and horn).
2.) 2-4 (two to four) Behringer B212 powered monitors (2-way, 12” driver and horn).
3.) 1 (one) Samson dB1500a powered subwoofer, 1x15”, 500W/program.
4.) 1 (one) Mackie Onyx 1620 mixer.
5.) 1 (one) Sonetic SA650 power amp 650W/chan RMS.
6.) 1 (one) Alesis MicroVerb digital reverb/delay for PA.
7.) 1 (one) Behringer DSP1124P Feedback Destroyer (for monitor channels).
8.) 1 (one) dbx DriveRack PA+ equalizer and feedback protector (for mains).
9.) Qualified engineer to run the sound system.
D. PA Speakers, Monitor, Amps, Mixers provided by VOODOO PUPPET
1.) 5 (five) piece Ludwig drum kit w/Zidjian cymbals – 1 bass drum, 2 floor tom, 1 snare,
1 reg toms, 1 hi-hat, 2 crash, 2 ride.
E. Miscellaneous Equipment provided by HOUSE
1.) Professional lights sufficient for event, if the event is indoors or at night.
2.) Minimum stage size of eight feet by ten feet (8' x 10').
