Clocks move forward 1 hour March 13th

Check out our new website listed above. Dianna volunteered at our planning meeting to create a web site
for us and it is now up and running. Please refer to it often and be sure to mention it to people you know
and meet. It can be a very useful tool. Save it as a favorite on your computer. You can also get to it from
the Mid-Atlantic web site and also from the International web site by clicking on “general links”. Our web
page will have the newsletters, the upcoming events and even some pictures on it. There is also an
application form that can be printed off.
I had to switch around the dates of 2 of our overnights. There were no rooms available at the hotel in
Wellsboro, PA for the dates we had picked so the Grand Canyon of PA trip is changed to August 26-28 and
the Flight 93 trip is now going to be June 3-5. The info on the hotels is on pages 2 and 3. Rooms go quick
so reserve your room as soon as you can so we can get more rooms if we need them.
We had 21 members come out on the coldest day of the year for our breakfast meeting this month. The
day before, John and Dianna, Jerry and Mary and Ken and I attended the meeting for the Mid-Atlantic Rally
and the banquet that was held in New Holland, Pa. Several nice rides are planned for the rally and this is
one rally you do not want to miss. More details and the registration form can be found on the website.
Shirley brought in and showed the quilt that has been started and donated by Dianna that we will be
finishing and will be raffling off at our picnic. We will let you know when it is finished and when you can buy
your raffle tickets.
Kenny talked about doing a food drive for the Home of the Brave which is a shelter for homeless vets.
Please bring in non-perishable food to the next 2 breakfast meetings. They are also in need of new twin
bed linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels and DART bus passes. They also have Memory Bricks that
can be purchased “in honor of” or “in memory of” a Veteran and we have decided to purchase one “in honor
of” our Delmarva Retread Veterans. Dianna passed out forms for anyone else who would like to purchase
a brick. If you need one, contact her and she will see that you get one.
50/50 was sold and Jim Sak won the free breakfast.

Bridge Way Restaurant in Smyrna. Follow Rt.13 north or south to Smyrna.
Turn onto Rt.300 and the restaurant will be on your left.
Be sure to set your clock ahead 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday the 12 th or you
will be late for the meeting.
After the meeting we are going bowling at the bowling alley in Dover. We had 8 people sign
up at the last breakfast meeting. Let me know if you didn’t get to sign up and want to go.

Saturday March 26 – Meet for Dinner
Meet us at 3PM at the Hibachi Japanese Restaurant in Dover for this month’s dinner.
There will be a sign-up sheet at the March breakfast. You can also email or call Margie
if you want to go. I must know by Monday March 21 st.
Everyone must be at the restaurant by 3PM in order to be seated.

3 Day / 2 Night Ride to Flight 93
7 rooms are on hold at the Baymont Inn in Somerset, PA for June 3-5. Call them at
814-445-3996 and ask for the rooms under the name, Margie Clendaniel. Give them
your credit card number and tell them if you want a room with 2 queen beds or 1 king
for our group rate of $59.90 which includes tax. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Let Margie know when you reserve your room so I know how many are left.

3 Day / 2 Night Ride to the Grand Canyon of PA
We have 7 rooms reserved at the Canyon Motel in Wellsboro, Pa for August 26-28.
There are 5 rooms with a queen bed for $65 + tax and 2 King Jacuzzi rooms for
$89 + tax. Call 570-724-1681 and ask for the rooms under Delmarva Retreads.
They will take your credit card info and put the room in your name. Please let me know
when you reserve your room. Rooms are being held until August 12 th. You must cancel
by August 12 if you can’t go.
