and Mary Steinert of Paratransit.
On April 15th,SMUD presentedParatransit,Inc., a ceremonial

provided by SMUD for the installation of an 85-kilowatt
photovoltaic (solar) system on the roof of Paratransit's
headquartersbuilding. The solar system is integrated with a
single-ply cool roof system which reflects sunlight and helps
keep the headquarterscooler. This is the first applicationusing
the two technologies in SMUD's service area.
The solar system will produce about 127,500kwh per year or
enoughto power almost 12 homes.

What's up with Florin Mall?
General Meeting '05
Inquiring minds want to know
By Larry Carr
Overflow crowd attends
Here's what we know. In December 2003, The
Sacramento Bee reported that local developer
Buzz Oates and at least one other partner
purchased the 210,000sf of "inline" stores of
the mall. The purchase consolidated Oates'
holding in the mall with previous purchasesof
-the former JC Penney and Weinstock's
buildings. Sears retained ownership of its building and the
CordanoCompany retained ownership of the outlying pads.

Heather Fargo, and City Councilmember Bonnie Pannell.
At somepoint in 2004 negotiations began with a Bay Area firm
to purchasethe mall. At this point, no firm plans are in place
for the mall's future development.
Earlier this year, the SacramentoHousing and Redevelopment
Agency - with the consent of the Partnership's Board - began
the process to place the mall and surrounding area into a
redevelopmentarea.
Whenthe developershavefinalized their plans they'illet us know.
